I put this in the Rec Room already, but I'd like to move all the really personal shit into its own little thread that members could view optionally.

Things like the "I Need A Drink" thread, and all the ones that were made to bitch about CDDA in the beginning. I think we've moved on, grown up some, and have learned from our mistakes, so removing them or at least moving them into a private board would be better. And for I Need A Drink and some comments made on things like Last Man Posting, I'd want there as well.

I'm not saying get rid of it, I'm saying to move it to a place that members could go to rant or get some "help" or advice. I mean its really weird to have the silly Sixposting threads right next to people spilling out their life story. And it makes new comers feel awkward with all this laundry being dried out in the open.

Seconded. I've sent a PM that got ignored requesting we delete the threads that were just complaining about the CDDA affair, I don't recall to whom exactly so IDK. Still I think this is a good idea.

Yeah half the guests that come here, just solely look at that and leave. So having them actually have to register to view it, or having it gone and deleted all together might help. We've let go of the bullshit, and yet we haven't actually gotten rid of it.

Even if the rants were full of blind hate, they are still part of the reason this forum was made.

I am not keen on deleting anything on our forum.
I vote moving them to places where only registered members can view it.

I'll wait for Perigrin to state his opinion on this and we'll go from there I think, unless the majority of the community decides first.

I think we had a discussion about this in the Mod chat a while ago, so you weren't ignored, we just either didn't really think it was too much of an issue at the time or couldn't come to a decision on what to do.

I say delete the C:DDA drama threads. There's no point in keeping them or archiving them. We left C:DDA, that's all in the past.

Other threads such as: "I need a drink", "Sexuality Shenanigans", etc. That should be moved to a private thread that can only be viewed by registered members.

Yeah, just make it a members only thing. When people ask, then we point them to the "help" section where people can just... bitch about their problems in a very private unknown board instead of going on Twitter or Facebook to scream at people.

The thing is, it ain't history. Its a bitching thread that makes us all look like assholes, we know the history, we know what to do and what not to do. We just need to get rid of the burden and move on with our lives.

If people are really that fucking curious, then they can play archeologist and go to CDDA. We're not hiding anything, we're popping a pimple of a thread that everyone keeps around because everyone is afraid that, "We'd be deleting history and becoming hypocrites."  Its honestly a toxic thread that needs to be taken out back and shot in the head. No one wants it around, and we just keep it around as a "reminder" even though this whole forum serves as a reminder that we left CDDA for greener pastures.

Everything is fine where its at except the CDDA shenanigans. Destroy the CDDA threads and keep everything else as is.

I agree that a lot of stuff needs to be moved, and some things needed to be deleted. And I also believe that this is somethign we need to decide as a community rather then have things stay because one or two people just don't agree.
