Also Fall Out Boys new album is great, but I liked their last one better, except Centuries and Immortals because they're amazing.

Rise Against are fairly well known about but they're the only band that I've consistently liked since I first heard them

For an obscure (sort of) artist though you should try listening to some Watsky, even if you're not into rap stuff that much, he does some spoken word poetry too but not nearly enough.

I guess I'll just list off some stuff I like, in no order and with no context whatsoever.

FIDLAR, Five Finger Death Punch, Blue Stahli, Black Keys, White Stripes, Celldweller, Rise Against, the Offspring, Hollywood Undead, Fallout Boy, Monstercat, and Led Zeppelin are things I listen to frequently.

I haven't listened to a lot metal* for about a year now, I just sort of went off it all of a sudden, Five Finger Death Punch, Amon Amarth, 3 Inches of Blood, Powerwolf and All That Remains used to be some of my favourite stuff though.

*Metal and it's various sub-genres and related genres.

Edit: I may have listened to that entire album, it wasn't actually that bad, just weird.

Like in the DDA thread, Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, and a dang lot of bands from here.

Dude, I bet you would like Yngwie Malmsteen.
This guy is awesome on the guitar and has a love for classical composers. He will mix in bits from classic songs on the guitar with the songs he plays. He is arguably the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarist to emerge during the '80s.
