Utterly Mad

Oh god above not falskaar. I can see that a lot of work went into it, but god all mighty is it bland. Wish I could get wyrmstooth to work properly.

We should play some 2-D spacemenz. Get as many forum goers into a voice chat and generally make goofy shit happen.

Listen I'm going to be blunt since people can't seem to understand it, it ain't going to work. I've discussed, asked around, Hell I've even tried to do it.

But every server has two rules about streaming:

1. You need to have a delay of 15+ mins, although a lot recommend 30mins. Which basically defeats the purpose of streaming at all, and while I have gotten away with it in the past. Loose lips, sink ships and I've seen a total of three streams go down because some little peanut decides it'd be cool to tell the "older kids" about this cool stream that's going on right now.

2. People could easily frame it as metagaming. I mean you could let it slip, "Damn, the fucking ling just killed me in Botany." or "Hey dude come into the laboratory and make some drugs with me." Even though that person is an assistants, and you two haven't said a single word with each other. Not to mention it doesn't stop half the chat from using it as metagaming, which is why the delay is encouraged.

But you may be saying, "AJ, what about that guy who streams SS13 with 300 people watching. WITHOUT THE DELAY MIND YOU!" Well the thing about that is, is that guy owns that server, or hosts it. Point is, he's actually apart of the staff so he has more power then some Joe that streams SS13 for fun.


I also don't like doing recording or streaming with multiple people while doing SS13. For the same reason. Normally I try to loop around the issue, but I'm going to say no. Unless we own a server or multiple staff members on Goon give me a very explicit, "YES, you can stream is and to hell with the rules." Then I'm not going to stream or record a round with multiple people. I like playing on Goon, and I don't want to lose credibility or get banned because of it.
