Title: The Gingko
Post by: Wheel-Son on May 02, 2015, 11:21:38 pm
Name: Gingko

Designation: Sentient

Homeworld: Abrus

Language: English, used to speak using sign language. They are adepts in Sign Language.

Average height of adults: 7'6(Male) 7'3 (Female)

Skin color: Varies, but plant colors

Hair color: Again, plant colors. Mostly plant-matter.

Breathes: Prefers oxygen, but can produce it with C02

Strengths: +Immune to venom: Due to not having blood they can't be poisoned

Weaknesses: +Flammable: All of them are flammable due to being made up of more flammable plants, like vines, leaves, and flowers.

Distinctions: Tall and plant-like with barbed teeth.

Average Lifespan: 145, they live for a long time because y'know they're plants

Races: Florals: Have flowers on their head instead of hair. Plant matter for skin.
Leaves: Have leaves on their head instead of hair. Plant matter for skin.
Blossoms: Have fruit-bearing tree blossoms on their head instead of hair. Bark for skin
Barks: Have tree leaves instead on their head instead of hair. Bark for skin.
Estimated Population: ~18 Billion

Diet: Carnivorous, can't digest vegetables properly.

Communication: Speech.

Culture: Nomadic native Americans, they seem to take from many different tribes.

Technology level: Medium Civilian, High Military

General behavior: Friendly but brutal when provoked.

History: They lived on Terra until the Humans arrived, they treated them well. The humans compared them to the Native Americans due to their culture, they gave them broken down ships and showed them how to repair them and use them. Now they either make them themselves or reverse engineer new ones they find broken-down in space. They do build their own ships, unlike the orks, they prefer to reverse engineer them though. They enjoy reverse engineering things, like weapons and ships. They are still nomadic even in the stars, star hunters practically live in their ships, they give away their homes when they become Star Hunters. When Ginkgo die their remains are used to fertilize soil so something new can grow.

Notable Player-Characters: Space-hunter Cato Bone-smith

Intent: Allies in-case of war

Plant does not mean flammable. Look at cacti for example, they are almost impervious to fire because of their high water content. That said, a gingko is a tree, so you should say they are made of wood.

Well, all of them aren't made of wood. Some have more vine-like appendages. But they are mostly made of more forest-like plants like leaves, vines, and flowers.

Just so everyone knows, Terra Solus is Earth. Is Terra supposed to be a different planet?

I think he copied your template and forgot to change that.

That makes sense I suppose. Also I like how he describes the relationship between his species and humans (creates a tiny piece of lore and secure foundations).

Perhaps a little more detail in their history, I'm actually quite interested by these, I want to know more about them.
Also the fact that they speak Zidian, are they somehow related to the Zidians?

I just noticed that. Some explaining would be nice.

1. I thought I set that to English.

2. I'll add more history.

Fixing/adding now.
