The Highway / Re: The Highway: Broken Caravan Update, and more Battle Stuff

Seb ducked back down into the RV, pushing the aviators back up his muzzle to ensure they were properly protecting his eyes.  He slung an RPK over his shoulder and picked up the flamethrower, cradling it with care as to not upset the mix.  "Right.  We'll be looking to you two for covering fire once we get on deck."

Seb clambered up the RV's roof access and spun the Browning around to take aim at the closest rigged buggy.  "What, you WANT bombs on wheels to get close to us?  LAY INTO 'EM!" he roared and depressed the trigger, sending a burst of fire at his target.

Seb whirled about after having taken his shot, seeing Irving hanging for dear life and get fired upon by the RV's own weapon.  Furious, the wolf mutant yanked Ivan away from the M2, pinned him against a wall and backhanded him across the face.  Baring his teeth in a snarl, he stared directly into the dim-witted human's eyes.  "Use your eyes, you ****ing numpty.  And get it together!  Or I'll toss you off this boat myself."  Seb released his grip after having delivered his message, turning his attention to the fortress looming on the horizon, looking for any more would-be intercepting vehicles.

Seb coughed and snorted, waving a paw in front of his muzzle in an attempt to ward off the noxious bouquet as he set 'DD' gently on the floor and drew his Bear, wanting to save some of that thermite for the fortress proper.  Wrapping an arm around the handle near the doorframe, he leaned out and drew the hammer back, aiming for the passenger seat of the muscle car and squeezing off a shot, braced for the recoil with an iron grip.

Seb's eyes locked onto a pair of aviators.  It'd have to do.  He grabbed them and perched them awkwardly on the bridge of his muzzle then moved towards the side door Amy was at, cranking the heating element on the way.  "Move!" he commanded, nudging Amy out of the entryway with his shoulder and braced the flamethrower against the doorframe, pulling the trigger to unleash a white-hot jet of napalm in the direction of the muscle car, aiming for the driver's cabin.  He flinches, eyes squinted in anticipation behind reflective lenses, not quite trusting their capabilities in the face of this inferno.

Seb carefully followed the instructions, his nimble claws darting back and forth slotting the bottles of fluid into their matching places on the flamethrower and giving it a gentle shake to ensure a proper mix in the ignition chamber, but he didn't turn the crank just yet.  After he double-checked that he'd followed the procedures as written, he quickly looked around at the equipment strewn about the cabin trying to locate some type of eye protection as weapons fire erupted around him.  He'd rather keep his eyesight in proper working order.

Seb looked upon the mobile bastion from the RV's window with both awe at the ingenuity required for such a behemoth and horror at the destruction it wrought.  Regardless of their motives, that madness couldn't be allowed to continue.  He swung Zaweri's XM8 from beneath the seat and dropped it on the table with a thud as the CO's orders crackled through the radio.  "Spearhead, huh," he said in grim acknowledgement of the task set before them.  "Man a gun.  Any of them.  Gonna see what the armorers cooked up here."  Seb's claws worked their way into the gaps of the weapon crate's lid, opening it.

Seb took his seat at the table again, looking over his equipment on the nearby weapon crate to make sure everything was accounted for.  "It's what was available."  He began to gear up, placing all of the items upon his person.  The allure of what fun toys the armorer had cooked up called to him as his ran his paws along the top edge, but didn't open it, remembering the warning.  The wolf's arm swept across the interior of the cabin, gesturing at the weapons strewn about.  "Want anything?  There's plenty."

Seb winces as the laugh battered into his sensitive ears.  Glancing over at Chalk's outstretched hand then back at his face, he shrugs and says " you say.  Best get inside then."  The wolf mutant ducked back down inside the RV, leaving the cyborg's hand rather lonely.  Seb wondered why he's even surprised at this point.  Yes, let's go ahead and just dump all the unwanted deviants into wolf-boy's unit.  Fantastic.

Seb's eyes squint in disbelief as he looked about and sniffed the air, detecting no other distinct entities.  "Unit?  Where's the rest of it," he yells over the wind.

Seb frowned, a quiet disapproving grunt forming in his throat.  He had hoped for something more substantial; some kind of insight to give him more answers, but he wasn't sure why he expected that from anybody in the RV.  The digits of his paws were interlocked, propping up his muzzle as he rested his elbows on the small table in the RV's cabin, contemplating some strange revelation that had just came to him, but didn't speak of it openly.  His ears twitched, picking up a peal over the masses of vehicles driving throughout the area.  Curious, he stood, easily lifting himself through the roof access and looking out over the horizon to determine the source.

(Thought we were already in the RV and on the way to Fignick's Moving Castle.)

Seb had laid out his personal armaments laid out on the wooden crate the armorer had given him, taking inventory as the CO's voice crackled to life over the radio.  He set his jaw, rolling a few loose .50 caliber rounds in his right paw like dice as the man gave his speech, snorting in derision as it came to a close.  Setting the bullets down, he says outloud, "Hard to believe.  What do you lot think?"  He takes a drink from his flask, freshly filled with more tea as he listens to replies.  He knew that he couldn't trust the CO at any rate, as his words seemed aimed at dehumanizing the opposition, though maybe asking those under his command wasn't much better, as a few of them didn't appear to care from his perspective.

Seb politely waved away the offer of drink.  He has enough of his own without needing to know what bloodweed mixed with rotgut might do to him.  He picked up one of the ammo cylinders and tested its weight, contemplating what the armorer had said, before stacking all of them upon the wooden crate and lifting the whole lot, carrying it into the RV.

What did it mean to him, one who sat so close to the line between feral beast and reasoning being?

He rolled the question over and over in his head as he sat filling speedloaders for the Bear, preparing to rain death upon other thinking, living beings.  For...for what?  The safety of the town?  He wasn't so sure anymore.

Yeah, played the PS3 port of Peace Walker and instantly noticed the similarities between MGSV and that game.  Makes sense since it's pretty much a direct sequel.
