Spriggans-
The Spriggans continue what they seem to be best at; messing with the natural order of nature. They begin farming some of these new Cyclomber plants and soon find that they are quite easy to grow in the local area. Further experimentation shows that if the Cyclomber is heated before it is eaten, then it gives only positive effects, however if the Cyclomber has been soaked in water for a while, it causes blindness for the usual amount of time without the benefits.
The Spriggans go about constructing basic tools and continue to manufacture arrows. They also avoid the snakepit, which upon further looks would appear to be growing slightly, outward and away from a very large and central anaconda stretching nearly twelve feet long. The Spriggans capture a very small rabbit like creature which a propensity to climb trees much like a squirrel would, they are very quick and nimble, and are also quite peaceable creatures. They are easy enough to domesticate, though they avoid eating Cyclombers for some reason.

Elves-
The Elves are quick to begin deforestation, something that seems to be almost against their usual nature. Though, in this new land, it is only necessary. They chop down many trees, converting these into such things as tools and wooden armor. The wooden armor seems efficient enough against very light blows, but it appears as though pretty much any real weapon could go right through it. The Elves through their digging discover a vast deposit of coal which blackens their uniforms and enables them to begin cooking and using the coal for other purposes as well.
The Elves elect a main leader and then separate themselves into factions, each focusing on different activities. While this division at first seems to be a reasonable idea, so many people are sent toward the training of war and warfare that it becomes far more difficult to gather food and construct buildings. Such a problem will need to be resolved lest their be a food crises. Stocks are already running low enough for the Elves, though it is hoped that the rapid domestication of horses will assist in that aspect. The Horses are easy to find, they seem to almost be running away from something usually.
[For the sake of it, i'll let you have your 2000 elves, but please fix your counting 500+500+500+1000=2500, not 2000]

Humans-
The Humans are quite efficient in their construction of a new colony. Instead of cannibalizing their ships, they use them as storage and shelter until real shelters and storage can be established. This means that the harsh weather effects humans much less than it could. Underground rooms are dug out fairly rapidly, and soon a long line of dirt and broken stone lines the beach, stopping the waves short in an accidental way.
Several men are dispatched deeper inland in search of wood, they soon find a grove of trees, most of them bare and dead-looking, but obviously still alive. They are easily gathered should they be wanted, and their wood, despite the look appears to be healthy enough.
The Guards take notice of a strange event along the water front. There is the sweet song of a whale far out at sea which suddenly seems to cut short, another of the large sprays of water blasting out. Moments later, gore and viscera float to the surface, the majority of the whale seems to have been taken away, but bits and pieces are there to help piece together what happened. The Spray seems to retreat away from the coast.

Avians-
The Avians continue their attempts at building a high city atop the trees and mountain. Their attempts are mostly successful, with a couple of mishaps here and there which thankfully result in no casualties or serious injuries. Guards are posted about the platforms, and they keep watch, making sure that no interloper steps upon their land without their knowledge. The bodies of the pair of Avians are found later on by another mining expedition, they appear to have been mostly consumed, though no sign of the being which caused this is seen except a slight trail of blood leading deeper into the caverns.
The Avian fishing operation works spectacularly, especially with their wings allowing them to stay out of sight of fish until the last moments. A large cluster of black berries are found which appear to be edible enough, but they have yet to have been tried. Instead of a spring of water, the Avian scouts find a small river leading across the expanse of the island, how this was previously unknown is not sure, but it most definitely leads out to sea.

Trolls-
The Trolls in their brutish and tough society continue to hunt giant deer. The beings are quite powerful however, and there are a few deaths and maimings in the huntings of these creatures. All in all however, it is quite successful for the Trolls to kill deer.
The Trolls do not hold the sort of natural plant growing prowess as other races such as the Elves and Spriggans, however they set about creating a few rows of the strange pear like trees. These begin to grow slowly as they are a fruit, and will probably take a long while to contribute enough to the diet of the Trolls to be useful. The Trolls continue creating tools and shelters with rapid speed, and soon it is easy to see the bustling colony from a distance.
One particular Troll hunting group comes back covered in wounds, and a few members missing from it. They report of a giant bear which caught them unawares, and slaughtered and injured them. Apparently it is a beast of considerable height and power, though perhaps the Trolls are simply exaggerating.

Catarra-
The Catarra do very little for their first part of their time here as a colony. Their tent village uses up all available cloth, and it is found that there is much sharing of tents. The noises continue to haunt the small village, and their is a gradual realization that supplies will soon run out lest the village finds some form of food.
[Yay, people are playing!]
