Pretty much just here to talk about games. Things you'd like to see in games, sequels, what have you.

So, Killing Floor 2 is being actively developed and Total Biscuit did a video. It looks great and I'll probably preorder if it will let me into the beta or what have you. It's in early access on Steam.

Grim Fandango is on my list of 'games I need to get'.
Also, been trying to get back to being used to using a controller. After playing with a mouse and keyboard for this long I've gotten quite bad with a controller.

I've heard that STALKER is an awesome game, thinking about getting it next time it's on Steam Sale, but which one should I get? Do I need to get all of them in order to get the whole story? How many games are there? Which one is the newest?

get all of them and play them in release order. the prequel to the first, clear sky, is honestly not as good, but still worth playing, especially to uinderstand a lot of references in CoP, the latest one. start with SoC, then CS, then CoP.

STALKER is certainly worth getting, Steam does a discount bundle if you buy all three together I think, and they're almost never on sale together from what I've seen.
The order is Clear Sky > Shadow Of Chernobyl > Call of Pripyat

Clear Sky was definitely the worst out of the three, but still worth playing. Call of Pripyat is a better game than Shadow Of Chernobyl but you're more likely to enjoy Shadow Of Chernobyl more, since it had a better storyline. So I'd also recommend you start with that one and then move onto Clear Sky and finish with Call of Pripyat.

You don't need to get all of them to understand the storyline though, if you only ever played Call of Pripyat then you'd understand the story quite well, they do a good job of explaining what's already happened.

Yeah, but if you play CoP first like I did it spoilers the first games plot and you miss a lot of callbacks. Also, I agree with the SoC, then CS, then CoP order, as that is the best order.

Yeah the spoilers are a problem.

I'd recommend playing with mods too, maybe. Preferably go with one that alters as little as possible and just bugfixes. The Complete mod for SoC is pretty good for that from what I've been told, adds a few new features that make the game more enjoyable without changing anything important.

I am guessing SoC is buggy as fuck then? I haven't played any of the Stalker series so I wouldn't know. I would totally be down to playing it if I can get it cheap. (or someone giving it to me

Few of the bugs are generally game breaking or will cause major issues, they're just a little annoying. I think a lot of them are to do with playing on Windows 7&8 so if you're running XP or Vista you should be fine.

CS is buggy as fuck. CoP is kinda buggy. SoC is HILARIOUSLY buggy at times. Like, it has funny bugs, not its funny it has so many bugs.
