Yeah, OBS can be an asshole, but it's free.

Its good with most games, but anything older than 2006 or so......

I may have internet back on my computer soon so I'll probably start recording stuff again once that happens, haven't done anything in a long time and my new channel is pretty much empty.
Debating between STALKER CoP, C:DDA and Fallout New Vegas for my first LP though
Although I could do Dungeon Keeper if I can ever stop being awful at it.

Thats pretty much how I play F:NV all the time these days anyway, although I find it difficult to stick it a character for too long and end up making new ones and deleting old ones all the time. Few of my characters live more than a week or two, although I guess I could solve that by playing with permadeath.

F:NV allows for some great self imposed challenges, especially with the Project Nevada mod allowing you to set combat to be almost realistically deadly for no good reason, although I do it because I enjoy the slightly more realistic feel of almost always getting instantly killed by a headshot or a few rounds to the chest.

PN isn't the only one I use for this but I've forgot the names of the others.

im finally going to get my mechwarrior 2 thing off the ground tommorrow hopefully, im just going to edit out everything that isnt robot fighting and turn off my microphone. too much ****ty commentary on youtube, not enough giant robot fighting.

well, went with mechwarrior 4 because OBS hates 2 really bad, but still just going to put up the missions without voice or any other things. except for the few times in the beginning of the series (Re: first few missions i did) i opened the menu to change controls because they were fucked up. other than that, should be good for episode one tomorrow. it still has awesome music and robot fighting, so who cares.

I do "small" lets plays for friends, but small is a massive understatement. The videos always end up being quite long and I run out of things to be entertaining about. Any tips on managing my time better? I'm sure keeping myself interesting would be less of a problem if I could keep better track of my time.

Just set a timer to go off every 20 minutes, and stop and restart every twenty minutes. I'm just going on a one mission basis for this right not.
