Nah the Creation Engine isn't Gamebryo, it's similar IIRC but I'm almost certain that they're two distinct things.
Or at least the Creation Engine is different enough from Gamebryo that it warrants having a different name.

I am also somewhat unsure about giving the character a voice, I mean sure, it's a nice touch I guess but it does make it more difficult to project a specific character onto the character you've created. That is unless they give an option to turn the voice acting off, which I think they probably will.

It's literally the same engine with some polish. The only noteworthy difference is sort of different scripting system which is also obtuse and frail as fuck in comparison to FO3 version. Oh, and a hardcoded limiter for creature skeletons that makes it almost impossible to implement new ones.

If they give the option to turn it off, that would be great.
I bet it will be the first mod after making dog non-essential.
Well, granted that Bethesda won't try to pull some new horseshit regarding modding.

I looked it up. The Creation Engine does in fact use parts of Gamebryo. So yes, it's technically a different engine and a polished up version of Gamebryo.
Realising that, I would have much preferred that they used a different engine, however they've most likely modified it a bit further than what they did with Skyrim, perhaps improved it, probably made bits of it worse.
