The only game that did this right was Call of Cthulhu, after you open that one door you get injured. You wouldn't know this early on that you actually received a wound you'd need to heal. So when you're confronted by one of the side-characters they say that your head is bleeding, and hint that you can bleed out if your cut or wound is deep enough.

Then it tells you the quick key for healing and you're all good.

Yeah, well, I don't get a quick-heal button. I have to sit there and wait for the dozens of bullets in me to magically disappear in about 2 seconds.

More like 20 in Battlefield 3, unless either a medkit is sitting next to me or bullets are just narrowly missing (suppression mechanics FTW)

When in RPGs they ask you that a enemy that isn't that hard (for example wolves) is attacking a farm and you need to kill them.

Well to be fair there was this one game I played where health potions restored your max health while healing potions restored your lost health.

That just seems needless.

For anyone that played Fable, most of what I remember about The Guildmaster should go in this thread, I wish that fucking Guild Seal wasn't a magical communication device that only worked for him, what kind of stupid shit is that

game of my childhood. also, in the second game, you hear a rumor that when the guild fell, the guildmaster was found with "your health is low" carved into his head with a knife.
