Hector was only more flustered at that, looking away shyly. "H-hey. Roxanne, s-stop that..." he said softly. "If you're really so insistent on teasing the both of us, we'll see if you still can when you come back from your mission. " he added, smiling a bit. "I'm not about to act on that without your approval, after all. Given how well things went when you thought I was cheating on you with Lilith..."

"Eh, let's equate the food with some more of option numero uno, eh? Oxy, codeine, morphine, heroin, whatever you've got on hand. You can go ahead and guess a reasonable amount." Hoyt answered the first of the three questions, before deliberating on the others. "Hell yeah, she's doing alright. Shouldn't be in much pain at all since her little accident, and I consider myself as skilled a cook as I am a doctor, I'll tell ya."

The third question was a bit more confusing. "Guy we cold clocked? The little fella who shot the guy trying to save her? If he's with you guys, sure. I don't care who gets it together."

Medeina tidied up the last of her business at the center and then, since Dervish was out, spoke the the captain in her office. "Ms. Captain, I regret to inform you that I must direct my attention elsewhere. Mr. Koenig is back on the farm, and so I must focus my efforts there. Not to worry though, I have run some diagnostics and made a few alterations and repairs here. The centers mainframe should last at least a year and a half more than my original estimate." Her sudden burst of speech through the office speakers scared Catalina up from her nap on the cot in the corner.

"Wazzat? Wha? You're going?"

"Yes Ma'am, the center's automated defenses should operate without me, but I will look in and see how you are all doing every once in awhile." Medeina chirped.

"I'd prefer it if you didn't." Catalina shot groggily, running her hands over her eyes.

"Regardless!" Medeina continued, "I shall! There are so many interesting specimens here, and Mr. Dervish has requested I stay on as an assistant. When my body is complete, I may even visit in person." Hearing this, Catalina groaned. The AI had been helpful, but good lord had it been a see-saw of ridiculousness and genuinely helpful actions. Medeina had saved the lives of several people, but had also terribly inconvenienced the staff in various ways. Restricting access to the Centers inventory systems, for example. Catalina would be glad when she was gone, but not too glad.

"I'm not teasing..." Atomos thought, "I don't tease. He makes a point though... He is your boyfriend, I guess you'll want to... In your own body. Are you just teasing?" She knew that wasn't true, she had access to Roxanne's thoughts and feelings and she knew that while Roxanne liked pranks, she loved trying new experiences even more. The idea had formed between them, or mostly in Roxanne, that the ghost would spend a large amount of the act jumping between the two bodies, her's and the knights, to experience what they did from every angle.

"You have a mission?" Atomos thought at her. In response to the question, she was given an instant rundown on all that had occurred to Roxanne to leave her in her current incorporeal state. "I don't pretend to understand any of that," She said, "But I wish you luck with it."

Lilith starts kneading at the ground again, claws digging large furrows in the dirt.  "Mica.  Mica and cub?  Lili-"  She cuts herself off with another growl, involentarily flexing her back muscles.  "Lilith come too.". The idea of removing the tree was, by now, completely out of her mind.  She raised her paw and shakes it a bit, spraying dirt, before reaching out towards Mica for a massive boop.  The funny feeling from the mushrooms was starting to wear off, and she really wanted to make fun of the spider for earlier.  "Bug thupid."

Nathaniel nodded at that. "Alright then. I'll prioritize painkillers, probably also antiseptic, dressings, and such too." he answered, before grumbling a little at that remark. "I was trying to hit the lady with the gun, not the guy that bum-rushed her." he blurted out.

"And...okay yeah, that was me. As much as I'd rather let someone else meet you guys, it's basically either I handle it, the spider chick handles it, the giant psychotically overprotective tigerlady, one of two drunk Russians, a guy with amnesia, or an even more psychotically overprotective guy in a knight outfit. The others are variously either busy or MIA." he admitted.

Kathrine groans again, clearly awake.  She missed her hair being all tied up neatly, and she missed her bed, and she missed the stupid way Mister Hector used to tell her to not touch the pile of tools in case she got hurt.  Kathrine was a big girl, she could handle a couple of tools.  But most of all, she missed Catnip.  Catnip's dumb little braids, and her stupid, cute way she stumbles around sentences, and...  "I'm sorry, Catnip..."

Mica was engulfed suddenly under the silky soft pads of Lilith's paw. She intended to respond with playfulness, but as Lilith begane not just to boop but also to hold her down, Mica started to scrabble and spit. "SssSSssS Lil-eth let My-ka up!" Lilith didn't, simply resting her massive paw on top of the struggling spider. "Lil-eth! Not fair! Lil-eth! Eaten all the foods and gettin' all big an heavy!" The paw wasn't that heavy, as it was being held up by Lilith to avoid crushing the bug. She let it settle on Mica a little, and Mica then found herself being gently smooshed into the soft garden moss and into the creases between Lilith's pads. It felt pleasant enough, the moss that is, and Mica supposed Lilith's paw would also be nice if it wasn't holding her down. "Lil-eth! Lil-eth! Lizard!" Dee attempted to talk to Lilith, but when that didn't work he tried to pull Mica out. This resulted in him also getting booped to the mossy ground right next to Mica. "Useless lizard!" Mica laughed, still flailing. "Lil-eth too mighty!"

Hoyt laughed a bit at Nathaniel's admittance, but it was a decidedly joking, lighthearted laugh, not particularly mocking. "No shame in that, buddy. I'd have probably just shot all of them if a firefight involving big spiders hadn't started. And yeah, painkillers, antiseptic, stuff like that, sounds good."

He mulled over the description of the farm's inhabitants for a bit, staying silent on the line as he did. "Colorful characters. I wouldn't be averse to meeting a few of them. Might be hard, keeping something like this a secret. Don't factor my well-being into this little hand-off, heh. We can take care of ourselves."

Nathaniel nodded at that. "Still, if anything I'm more annoyed that this  might've been avoided entirely if either of us had showed maybe a few seconds sooner." he remarked. "Or later, though I'm worried that if I hadn't taken the shot, Kath might've been hit." he added.

The response to that remark only made him facepalm. "Well regardless of whether you think you can take them, I don't want this turning into more of a clusterfuck than it's already been. I'll get supplies and try to get the others to help out with it. at least to ensure they don't walk up having no idea what to expect. Lilith and Mica are going to be hard to explain things to. Micva's the spider chick, while Lilith's a 10-foot tigergirl. Well, er. Shit I just realized she was maybe 7 feet last time Kath saw her." he said. "Regardless, let me go tell them and get the supplies. Operating a radio in an old M701 at the moment, so won't be in contact until then. Out."

Hector was only more flustered at that, looking away before he moved closer to Lilith and Mica. "If you two are looking again, I should come as well. If we find her, never did apologize for scaring her like that, last time I saw her." he said. "Plus if someone kidnapped her, we should expect tr-"

"That won't be necessary." Nathaniel said, making his way past the rubble of the barn. "I've got radio contact with the people who have Kathrine. They want medical supplies for having treated her injuries. Mica. Lilith. I want you two to NOT cause any trouble. Got it?" he said.

"Didn't say I could take 'em, buddy, said we could take care of ourselves!" Hoyt lightheartedly yelled into the transceiver, before silently waving at it as Nathaniel left to tell his compatriots.

"M701, eh?"
"Expected 'em to have something like that, honestly."
"What do we have like that?"
"Rocket launchers, grenades, a fuckton of guns, an armored truck, and stimulants. Also, Carrol."
"Fine. Fair."

Elsewhere in the RV, Carrol turned over to Kathrine from her seated position, one of her potent cigars clamped in her teeth. "Catnip, huh? That the girl the little boy on the radio mentioned, darlin'? Guessin' you'll be seeing her pretty soon, don't worry."

Lilith started giggling as soon as Mica had started struggling.  The spider was way too easy to pin down, and the addition of Dee to her collection of 'prey' made it even better.  The addition of Nathaniel to the area didn't work though.  She'd have to let one of them up in order to pin him down, unless...  Lilith looks down at her boobs, thinking.  "Nataleeeee!  Come!"

Kathrine shakes her head, sitting up straight.  "No.  No, 'cause Mistress ran away b-because I'm mean..."  She brings her tail up, curling it around her good arm and hugging it close to her chest.  "A-and because the meanie with the pistol..."  Kathrine cuts off, looking down.

Nathaniel sighed a bit at that, looking back at her and approaching carefully. "Well this is gonna suck. Lilith. Liliiith. I found Kathrine." he said calmly. "Someone else has been treating her injuries and taking care of her. Can I trust you not to hurt them?"

Hector meanwhile facepalmed at that, moving closer to Nathaniel to whisper to him. "You aren't seriously just going along with this, are you? They're likely whoever smacked you upside the head and ran off with her." he pointed out, to which Nathaniel tried to shush the knight. "Damnit I know. But right now they seem to be more interested in medical supplies and...evidently, drugs. Last thing I want is a fucking hostage situation involving Kath." he pointed out.

Roxanne smiled using Atomos as a host for the last time this session. They both had invaded each other in ways words could not describe and discovered a few things the other might have prefered not to know. She would’ve stayed longer to mess around but Atomos’ reference to her “mission” snapped Roxanne back to reality. The last thing the fox girl would feel from Roxanne was the feeling of dread.

“It’s for the best you don’t understand. There are things out there that threaten us beyond the cataclysm. Live your life to the fullest and don’t worry to much; follow your instincts. You only live once you know?”, Roxanne responded to Atomos, “Enjoy life, do a few stupid mistakes and maybe settle down eventually. For now, I must get ready; the mission will start soon. Take care!” Roxanne gave control back to Atomos, however, Roxanne was nowhere to be found. She didn’t materialize in the room, she wasn’t inside of Atomos either.

There was one ability Roxanne had not used in front of anyone, Kinesis Shift. It worked in the same way as going incorporeal, she would make her body translucent to the point where she was practically invisible; it was the equivalent of the cloaking cbm or catnip’s invisibility cloak. However, like all of Roxanne’s divine abilities, this costed Divine Essence; and this ability was quite taxing. Everything she did, from hovering to her divine flames drained her supply of divine essence. This was the equivalent of life essance for living people, it allowed her to fuel spells and the such but if it was drained completely, Roxanne would achieve a second death, non-existence. Divine essence regenerated over time and Roxanne had plenty at the moment so she used her cloaking ability to travel uninterrupted elsewhere.

Victor had left the barn some time ago. He wasn’t needed there, breakfast was over and everyone else was occupied with other things. Once more his room was his sanctuary; preparations for the mission being done, one last test for his hidden goal.

The aura spell picked up a familiar aura appear inside his room. It did not teleport or was summoned, it simply walked through his wall. “Roxanne? Oh, how may I help you?”, Victor said to break the silence. Roxanne stood there, no longer cloaked. “Just wanted to let you know I am headed to the APC for the mission. There is nothing for me to do anymore. Can you be a dear and let Helen know?”, Roxanne responded, her demeanor and tone was solemn and a bit somber as well despite her actual words.

Victor gave a single nod at her request, “I’ll let her know if I see her. I myself am almost ready.”, Victor responded.

“Thank you Victor, this will be over soon. Soon we will be able to relax. I am looking forward to it.”, Roxanne commented.

Victor’s facial expression changed to guilt. “Roxanne, look, I am sorry for what I said dur-”, Victor started to say.

Roxanne interrupted him mid sentence. She closed her eyes and waved her hand around in a dismissive manner; smile plastered in her face. “Water under the bridge. I did spike your food after all...”, Roxanne said herself, “You have proven many times before that you have my back. Hell, today’s mission is another example. Don’t worry about a thing. Just focus on the mission today, Grand Wizard Ironwood.” After her comments, Roxanne exit Victor’s room via wall and headed for the APC.

With her final "take care" and sudden departure, Atomos was hit by a sudden confusion. She felt... empty? Atomos felt alone in her body, lending to a new kind of loneliness. She had never felt more fundamentally alone. Roxanne had left her with something though; the barest shred of confidence. It had been there the whole time, smothered by the dark of seven years under ground. All it needed was a little something, a friend maybe, to resuscitate it.

Hector turned back to Atomos for a moment. He found the way the fox was staring off into space a bit off. "Roxanne?" He said, jolting Atomos from her deep thoughts.

"She's gone." Atomos said a little oddly. She sounded like someone who was about to cry. "I think I'll go enjoy the rest of my vacation. Listen, Thank Ms. Helen for breakfast and will you thank Roxanne for me?"

"Thank Roxanne for what?"

Atomos shrugged and grinned. "Doesn't matter, she knows."

Mica stopped squirming and squeezed her head out from under Lilith's paw, looking up through two claws like the bars of a cage. "Ain't got no more hands silly Lil-eth! Can't be catchin' small mans!" Nearby, Dee tried to push the paw off of his chest, but with each attempt he only found the paw pressing down further. When that became apparent, he stopped trying.

Lilith barely pays any attention to Nathaniel's words until she's already snatched him up and brought him closer with the paw she had over Dee, gently placing him underneath her and lowering herself so that he's pinned under her boobs.  Then, she finally realises what he mentioned.  "Cub?"  Lilith brings her paw down on the ground next to Dee, accidentally letting him go.  "Found cub?  Found cub-hurter?  Cub-hurter help cub?"  She honestly just looks confused.  "Lilith no hurt cub-hurter.  For cub."
