If I were to run something based around the idea of an open world "post-apocalyptic pirates in space" type thing, would anyone be interested? Mechanically, it would likely be a pretty simple roll to dodge type thing based off the first edition of the Warhammer 40K rulebook, which is the closest thing I've played to RP until recently and the only book detailing mechanics I have around. I'd keep track of some stats, but no one else would have to if they didn't want to. It would feature a storyline that can be followed or ignored as you like. I don't care how people play, but you'd likely have to be prepared to read relatively long posts on my part.

EDITS: Basic thing is up. If there are no other takers, I think I can probably run this well enough with one person, but it might be hard to add in more later on. We'll see
