Not like my RPs are getting any updates anyone, so yeah. I'm taking a break, RP ain't fun because no one ****ing posts except for like what, 3 people.
And I've tried RPs with only 3 people, they never post even then.
I'm actually just going to throw in the towel with this whole RP thing anyway, I hate the letters "RP" more and more with each time I see or say it. I've been learning coding (IE: Javascript) off and on, and I've been dicking around with Unity off and on; I find most of it relaxing, since coding and programming basically boils down to: input linear math and hope that your equation does the thing you want it too. But then again I'm still in the basics. ((*cough* maybe a little bit of BYOND after seeing stuff like Lifeweb and The World server, base your engines off of SS13 and make something byoutiful))
And I've had more fun writing up drafts (2nd draft for the 1st act of The Tide, rough plot and character page for The Highway) for stories then I ever had GM'ing these past few months. I don't know if everyone just lost the drive to do this **** or what, but I'm starting to get tired of the ole' 4 step failure.
1. Hype up nerds with the prospect that it'll be THE RP, you'know like The Highway, SomeRP, or like HS's or Jaker's things.
2. Post up the thread and promise you'll actually update.
3. Write up a stupid amount of stuff hoping that your players get that far to see the cool ****.
4. No one, or the GM doesn't post. Everyone gets bored, moves onto new RP.
Repeat to get the Rec Room for the past year-and-a-half.
So yeah, I'll still do the things I joined, but like I said, I'm throwing in the towel and calling it quits on the whole GM'ing thing.
Note: I still made the promise to finish The Highway, I'll fucking finish The Highway
