Technology is on a more modern level. There are cell phones, more efficient cars, and all that. Society wise we're back in the Prohibition.

Life in the mob hadn't been easy. You had to break some kneecaps, bust up a few stores, and plug a few mooks who decided to mess with the Family. Now though, now you've made it to the big leagues, you're the Boss' right hand men, his personal enforcers.
Somethings been bothering the Boss, and that means you're going out to deal with it. The Gambettis (our Family) run the Industrial distric of the city, all sorts of factories and construction zones, not to mention some pretty big still sites that provide the local speak-easys. Somebody busted up one of the stills and left four of our boys in the morgue, but it wasn't the cops. That's where you boys come in, The Boss has called you to meet and give the you the details.
