Utterly Mad

Haralus

The armies moved into the tunnel at Haralus' order. For a time it seemed that the tunnel had cleared of the creatures. This was proven wrong as the sounds of fighting came from the font of the advancing armies. As they pushed forward Haralus saw more dead men and creatures but they were making progress.

It wasn't long until they reached the point where their initial base camp would be set up, the intersection between the different tunnels. The battle there was brief but still cost lives, with several of the wounded being dragged into the dark by the creatures, their screams echoing through the tunnels briefly before suddenly going quiet.

Haralus could hear the men of the varying armies talking, with some of the men questioning why they were even doing this. The engineers moved into the area and began setting up the camp as the commanders of the individual armies gathered their forces together and waited for Haralus to give them the order to proceed.

Pace

A child quietly walked out of the trees and said "s-sorry for interrupting mister, I just need to-"

Pace heard someone shouting from deeper into the trees and he made out "I don't care find the child!"

The child looked at Pace after that and said "Please, I need to hide from them."

He could hear the men getting closer, their shouting getting steadily louder. There was brief scream that sounded like a woman that was quickly cut short and Pace heard "Come on, hurry up before the locals hear something! Why in the name of Azmodal we're doing this this close to them I wish you'd have told me but just hurry up!"
