Do not buy the landjaeger. (did I say this already?)

At gas stations, you can purchase jerky and preserved meat sticks. My particular store sells several different kinds. The first is the tilamook, which are rather thin and meh but are otherwise a decent buy for their price (1.69$ each). the oberto is a very popular brand with a lot of pull. They come in long and thin (1.29$) or short and girthy (1.79$ varieties of "pep stick." These sell fairly well. There are also the expensive zaks (2.99$), which don't sell at all, and the nameless (0.69$) "mini sausages." Apart from all that, there are also... the landjaeger (1.89$). These are made by the Bavarian Meats Company in Seattle. They operate out of pikes place market. The landjaeger is a shitty dry hunk of shit. It isn't preserved properly and so they begin to rot the moment you open the package and place them in their bin. Of 12 landjaeger placed in the box after two days, the chances are at least one has sold and the rest have mold growing on them, forcing me to throw them out. Considering a package of 4 landjaeger costs 8$ when purchased directly from the company that makes them, my store really can't afford to have them rotting so fast. Even if we could get people to buy them, which we can't, they still wouldn't be worth the investment. The station I work for is losing money simply by stocking the damn things, not counting the loss when they inevitably go rancid.
