Alright after hastily typing that out on a dying phone and eating some leftover Chinese I can type:
So what shocked me the most about the trailer is how much it looked like Fallout concept art, I mean if you look at the concept art for Fallout: New Vegas or Fallout 3, you realize that whats there is supposed to be much bigger and more detailed. Best example of this would be the huge disappointment that was the city of New Vegas, I mean they hyped that shit up but when you finally got there it was just... eh. Mainly due to how small everything was, and how depopulated the actual city was. It would've been better if they focused more on the story but whatevs.
Anyway everything looks straight out of a concept art book for Fallout, and half the shit I saw in the trailer was always a "hidden" part of the lore. Like did you know (This is from a heavily Retconned version of Fallout Tactics, from the horses mouth) the Brotherhood of Steel had a fleet of airships, they were all destroyed when crossing The Divide except for one that made it through; and yes airships are officially apart of the lore. But I never thought I'd see one in an actual game.
Also another thing that straight up made my heart jump, we get to see what happened when the bombs fell, and ontop of that I remember a rumor floating about that was about a Vault that cryogenicly froze people and that you'd play as someone who made it into the Vault. And judging from the trailer its going to be a great fucking opening, tutorial, and most likely will be as heartbreaking as the opening to The Last of Us.
Also did anyone else get "cyberpunk" vibes from how the towns looked? It might be the noodle shop that's giving me those vibes, but if there's That Gun in there and a trenchcoat, I'm definitely going to be playing as old Harrison Ford.
But my only worry about the game is a minor gripe and it might just be in the trailer but: The main character spoke, and the reason why that has me worried is mostly because Fallout let you project yourself on the character and giving said character a voice kinda takes me out of it; I'm sure I'll get used to it... but then again there is this:

So I don't know what Bethesda is planning, maybe its leaked for just the Male players lines, maybe you only talk to the dog, or maybe it was the dog that's talking and you get a Boy and His Dog vibes.
But other then that I purchased 1st class tickets on the hype train and anyone whose interested can take the extra seat.
I legit just nearly cried, I am so incredibly ****ing excited for Fallout 4.
Nobody can tell me it'll be a 'bad game' because it ****ing wont be, the setting alone looks amazing enough. Doubting it because Bethesda is making is is a bit odd, Fallout 3 was ****ing brilliant, no better or worse than New Vegas honestly. With at least 300 hours in a single character in both games I still enjoy both, and I'm 100% certain that I'll enjoy Fallout 4 just as much.
I could argue that New Vegas is miles better then 3. Mainly due to the story not being black&white in New Vegas, and how I enjoyed the Nevada area much more then DC in the long run. And how the quests were much more fun in New Vegas, there was no fucking fire ant mission in New Vegas.
But that doesn't matter, what matters is what Bethesda does with Fallout 4's gameplay. I want all my skills to only level up when I hit the level up mark, I want to be S.P.E.C.I.A.L-ized in what I choose, I want my actions to have consequences, and I want really fun traits like the Nuke trait that made you blow up when in crit or a Bloody Mess trait, or a trait that makes me "gay" (listen I didn't know gay people did 15% more damage to the same gender, once the Apocalypse comes the LGBT community will thrive).
And if the world is good (WHICH IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS) then I probably won't bitch (as much) about the lack of complexity if there is a lack of complexity.
Just give me a cool wasteland, some oldies, and some fun guns and traits; and I'll be one happy wastelander.
