Get told something means something it does not, use it incorrectly, find out it should in no way be used to mean what you thought it meant.

And in this case the term, phrase, whatever the proper word for it is since I'm tired as shit, was the Thin Blue Line. What that actually is is an emblem used to commemorate fallen law enforcement officers in several countries. How I had originally heard it and used it was in reference to police officers lying to protect other police officers in instances where they should have been punished, and this is the interpretation that the person I heard it from affirmed to be the correct interpretation. Since something as little as the meaning of most phrases seemed something not worth lying about I took that at face value and used it in a couple conversations as such.

So, I found a bow at work this morning. I say "found," what I mean is, "someone jammed an olympic compound recurve bow into the trashcan next to pumps 5 and 6, tearing apart the trashbag and pissing me off, but also providing me with a free bow."

Casually? No. The way they mauled the fuck out of the garbage can to get it in there was far from casual. The aftermath of the act had the distinct feel of one who is furious about something. Perhaps the damage to the draw cables, or the shearing of the tension spool in mid-draw?

Thats even worse. Not just did he throw awaya bow on a gas station, he did it with intent.

Did some research about it though. It's a Bear Tamerlane II, they were made back in the 70s so this bow is old as shit. Maybe not old as shit, but certainly older than me. Back then, a brand new one cost 400$. That's a shitton of money in 70s dollars. Today though, they are worth a paltry 75$ to 100$ in good condition. They were THE bow to have back then. The first number on the serial number is a 6, which means the one I got out of the trash has the heaviest limbs that this bow can have. It will probably be worth it to have it restored. Not monetarily of course, I imagine repairs will cost more than the bow is worth. I would be in possession of a good bow though, and I was thinking of getting back into archery even before I found it.
