Title: The Wikipedia Game
Post by: Rhodri on March 22, 2015, 07:17:59 pm
Welcome! Today we shall journey across the great expanse of Wikipedia!
The rules are simple, the poster above you has to choose a Wikipedia page you have to get to. We will call it the "chosen page". You start off at whatever page is given from the "Random page" button on the main page. From there, you can only use links inside that page to get to the chosen page, so no using the sidebar or search feature!
Describe the journey however you like, something as simple as listing the order of pages you used to get to the chosen page, using screenshots, or even somehow creating an elaborate story detailing the dangers of Wikipedia are all acceptable. Remember to give a chosen page for the next adventurer who is bold enough to face the perilous landscape known as Wikipedia.
I am the first poster, so there is no chosen page I can journey to. :(
Here is the chosen page for the first player: Sparta. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparta) Click the random page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random) button and begin your journey!

I started with the deep bodied pipefish.

Which wasn't horrible, it just meant I had to poke through Australia's horrible censorship laws for a while.

Blah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_of_Castile - And this guy died a couple years before the wars. What a jerk. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Trast%C3%A1mara - Come on, the article states the wars caused these guys to rise to power. Where's my link? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_II_of_Castile - Oh, there it is.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernandine_Wars
That was a hard one that required much reading. If I hadn't of started with European monarchy, I likely would not have gotten there.

That was a much shorter trip than I expected. It's strange that it takes less effort to get from an Arab TV show to a rare illness than it does to get from members of royalty to a war that elevated a noble to king.
