ISS-2 (International Space Station 2) was issued in 2015 through a heavily debated issue regarding the current ISS after it had been severely damaged by free-floating debris orbiting earth. The deaths of several well-known and experienced crewmembers sealed the station as inoperable for further missions.
The main goal of ISS-2 is to replace the broken ISS, whilst improving living conditions and shielding to enable crewmembers to stay longer and possibly beyond by using recent technology-breakthroughs in resource circulation and recyclement. Research is still a high priority.
After the long construction period, the station has finally been brought to a operationable state in 2027.

Spoiler: Crew-issued summary of technical details of ISS-2: (hover to show)

-The ISS-2 has been assembled in a higher orbit around earth, therefore removing the orbital decay, allowing the station to remain in orbit indefinitely.
-The station has been equipped with an artificial photosynthesis module, far more efficient than any conventional plant known to science. Allowing a great deal of resources to be recycled and reused, mainly oxygen.
-Power is generated mainly by the massive solar-panel arrays mounted on the exterior hull. These arrays have been given extra shielding to prevent major damage from any orbital debris.
-However, if the solar arrays cease to function, and the internal battery banks are either empty or inoperable, the station has been issued a lesser nuclear reactor. This reactor has been disabled by default, and must be manually started to avert any accidental activity wich could resolve in potential disaster.
-A rough estimate of the crew capacity of the ISS-2 is to be around 50 people, with all things such as oxygen and supplies considered.
-As a later addition to the station, a reusable space plane has been handed over to the ISS-2 mission from the ESA. This shuttle is able to leave and re-enter the atmosphere several times on one full tank of fuel. This shuttle is to be used to transit between earth and ISS-2 when needed. Command is planning to use this shuttle to land on the moon in a later mission if ISS-2 turns out successful.
-ISS-2 has artificial gravity, something essential to keep the station habitable for a longer time. The direct technological details remains classified for now, but all ISS-2 engineers have been taught to repair and maintain it if a failure does occur.
-Lastly, the station has been designed with comfort in mind, having various items to make it look more habitable without compromising functionality. Various crew activities have been guaranteed to assure the mental stability of the crew.

It has been decided to give the crew as much freedom as possible to lessen the workload, but there must be some protocol to keep the station functional. Just keep in mind of these paragraphs:
-The communications officer must report every week, and transmit a data package daily containing some statistical and technical data.
-Repairs and maintenance must be prioritised highly. Not just for the solidarity of the mission, but also for the safety of the crew.
-Under no circumstances are crew allowed to leave the station unsupervised, and without proper equipment.

This is a semi-sci fi RP, wich means that I'm doing my best to keep this somewhat realistic, without making it too boring. It's live action, and there isn't really a limit on how many can play. I'll update every weekday, but not regularly on weekends. And as always, there's mechanics in the background that I won't bore you with.
