Title: ISS-2 (IC)
Post by: HS1342 on April 15, 2015, 05:14:33 pm
The transit ship quietly slows down as it match the velocity of the grand-looking ISS-2. It's sheer size can be measured only with a cruise ship, and as the small transit ship goes up alongside the station, it looks even bigger.
ISS-2 is currently on the bright side of earth, being between the sun and the surface of earth. Speaking of earth, the view of the asian continent is great. Though none of you are currently awake to see it through the large-like window on the side of the ship.

The ship recoils slightly as it makes contact with ISS-2, and the voice from command echoes through the dormant ship.
"OTS-15 has successfully docked with ISS-2. Alignment... perfect. Connecting main systems to the station."
A loud thud echoes through the stasis bay, and the main lights turns on, revealing the pods containing the new crew.
"Power system connected. OTS-15 and ISS-2 is now sharing power supply. Crew status?"
"Crew status... unchanged! Transit was successful, I say again, transit was successful!"
"Engaging artificial gravity aboard the OTS-15..."
Something hums loudly in the ship, and an old forgotten soda can slowly begins to fall to the floor of the transit ship. It collides softly as the gravity tramps up, and is soon rolling slowly across the floor.
"Gravity online. Disengaging stasis pods."

Drake, Mai, Jeffery, Ivan, Gordon:
With a beep from every pod in sight, and the sound of them being unlocked and depressurised, you slowly wake from your little nap.

The transit ship you're currently in seemingly consists mainly of a small bay containing the pods for the crew. The size of the bay is that of a bigger bus. There's a window on the side of the ship, with an astonishing view of earth, showing the asian continent.

Drake leaves the small pod in the transit ship he resides within, excited to lustfully listen to Gordan Freeman's soothing voice do research!

Drake:
You waste no time for such trivial matters such as adapting to the new climate, and jog off towards the r&d modules by following the signs.

Using your researcher keycard, you gain access to the labs.
There are many useful things here, like a telescope module capable of looking at both earth and into the deep galaxy and the moon, various machines capable of doing almost anything to any sample you have, and so much more.
No expence was spared for these labs.

Mei stumbles out of her pod and into the disorienting world that is reality. She turns around to get a bearing on her location, and at that same time gets a look out the window and at the Earth below.

"Woooow." she whispers, and takes a moment to appreciate the view.

Viewing done, she steps on out of the transit shuttle and heads to her place of work, the laboratories.

*Sudden idea gained*

Find the random soda can.

Do random shit with the science tools.

I know, I'm so professional.

Gordon Freeman will leave his pod with a groan as he fumbled and fell flat on his face. He would quickly pick himself up and then would make his way to the comms area.

Make a stasis gun out of the stasis pods...for science.

Ivan would crack his back and take a few baby steps out of the pod to adjust to the space around him, mostly stumbling about the hallways like an American after a bottle of Vodka. "Vwhat? No time for chit-chat?", he asked his voice echoing throughout the empty station.

He'd try to stumble his way into his department hopefully not looking too foolish.

Mei:
After an eventless trip to the labs, you arrive at your destination.
Drake is here, showing a metal can into various machines while giggling as it's torn apart. He probably doesn't even know that.

Drake:
You make a mad dash back to the transit ship, grab the can, run back, then proceeds to insert the can into various machines that prods, pounds, and devestates the can completely.
Basicy, the can has been grinded into a hillarious grey metal paste.

Jeffery:
In the name of science, you take your tools to the stasis pod with the intention of deconstruction.
Soon you have a pile of components beside you.
Now to make a gun out of this...
...
How?

Gordon:
You walk with some serious style over to the control room.
The room is filled with various screens and small, blinking, strangely useless LED-light.
You recon that one of these machines is used to communicate.

Ivan:
You stumble of towards engineering, next to the science rooms.
It's dimly lit by one lone light, illuminating a row of clean desktops.
There's also a closet in the back with some cleaning stuff.

Drake tries compress the paste into a hyper-dense metallic alloy.

Jeffery goes to research. Asking for gun making help.

Mei decides that while it would probably be best to avoid the strange man with the soda can, she was about to spend quite some time with him aboard the vessel. Best to get to know him now.

She walks up behind him, and clears her throat. "Um, hi. I'm Mei." She extends a hand.

Drake shakes Mei's hand frantically and uncomfortably.

"Hello there, fellow researcher! I am Drake. Drake Ashford. It is great to see other's with such an interest and knack for science! People say I'm crazy, I don't know why though..."

"As you can see, I have made this soda can a useless paste with the power of !SCIENCE! But hopefully it can me molded into a slightly-less useless hyper-dense metallic alloy. Of science."

Drake doesn't seem to be the most sane of people.

Mei tries her best to give a friendly smile while her arm is violently shaken hither and dither. "That is very... Interesting, Mr. Ashford." Against her better judgement, she poses another question. "Do you need some help with your metal paste?"

"Not much help is needed, actually. Just tell me of the location of any other soda cans you find, if you can."

Mei nods understandingly. "I will." She moves to the other side of the room, and takes a few measurements of the gravity aboard the vessel for benchmarking purposes. She hopes the guys back at HQ would appreciate the data.
