Title: Possible Forum Restructure

Okay so given how the forum is to be a place for artistic freedom without censorship (ignore the fućking filter right now) we're considering a slight change to how the boards work, but would like community feedback since this is going to change the way the boards work and require a slight change in the rules.

Currently 'The Pit' is all five boards that you guys visit, and pretty much anything goes there within the rules, this will pretty much not be changing, nothing about The Pit will be affected by this so all current posts, with a few very minor exceptions, will stay exactly as they are.

The 'Safe for Work' (We need a name for it) area will be exactly that, unlike The Pit this area will be subject to a bit of censorship, but only so far as to make it safe for work or anyone who's a bit more sensitive or young and absolutely nothing will be censored on personal opinion, as we intend to always keep it. The reason for this is so that there is a place in the forum for people to visit while knowing that they wont run into anything that could get them in trouble, such as if they're browsing the forum on a computer with their parents sitting behind them.

Then there's 'The Abyss'. For those of you familiar with Lurker, this is pretty much unofficially his, since the kind of stuff he posts is what will be going here. The Abyss essentially has even the slight restrictions we have in The Pit removed, absolutely anything goes and you wont really have to worry about the Admins getting grumpy over it, as long as you're not being stupid, since this place will have it's own, significantly shorter, rules list. P0rn still remains behind a spoiler at the minimum though, but absolutely anything as disgusting or weird as you want goes here, this is the area for the truly fućked up stuff.

The Abyss is something we may not implement for a little while yet, or we may try it out and decide it's a bad idea and then remove it, we'll see how it goes when we more or less remove most of the rules from a small section of the forum. It's esentially an exercise in how well you can 'moderate' yourselves.

I agree with the 'Safe For Work' area. I think that is an absolutely splendid idea as I think some people would not want to go to the forums because there is no SFW area. As for the Abyss....I don't know...

The Abyss is something we're not entirely sure on, it's a possibility and even if we do go with it we might end up going back on the decision if it goes badly, but we're willing to try it out.
The SFW area is looking like we'll definitely go with it though, it will be subject to some censorship but I don't feel like that's at all a problem when you can just as easily post something in The Pit without fear of censorship.

I'd like to second that motion for a SFW board. The Abyss doesn't seem like it would see too much use in my opinion, and would likely just be taking up space.

Okay couple things here
1: SiegeLion you are being an amazing moderator

2: The majority of general discussion (LMP, Hugla maybe, a few other threads) could be moved to the SFW since verry little if any NSFW content is in them.

Ok, guys, just a bit of a point that's kinda frustrating me.
If you guys do have a hidden admin board, either go ahead and tell us or quit joking about it. If you have it and don't want us to know fine, if you have it and don't care fine, but please just go ahead and say either way instead of the red text jokes.

Yes it does exist we discuss what we should do on the forums and ask other admins if we should take action for such and such.

Ya see, I probably would have sigged this if I knew of it's existence. Now that I AM aware of it, I'm not sure if should sig something from the hidden mod board.


Also Siege should've been a mod on the DDA forum instead of KA, preventing The Moddening and our exodus.

Sigging something on the mod board should be fine, it's not exactly a secret, we just like to pretend it is. The Secret Police board is a secret though, it's where we give your IP addresses to the government
