this is my race and first contribution to this world. the Zidians are 7 feet tall on average, have pale skin, and are covered in a layer of silvery hair. they posses prominate muzzles, eyes of varying color, and two ears. they have four arms, and two legs, hinting at a non-mammalian origin. Their society is built around glorious battle, with it being considered the highest honor to die in glorious battle against the enemies of the great war goddess Zidia, from which they take their names. They have formed great bipedal vehicles in the shape of their god, they call them Uru'Zid, everyone else calls them mechs.

The homeworld of the Zidians is Elfansa, a relatively normal habitable world. They have a fairly large empire, although frequently divided by infighting between the various clans that make up the race. Their technology is advanced, although geared almost entirely for war, their civilian tech isn't that far ahead of 22nd century human tech. Their weapons are primarily projectile based, with sizes from the humble Arninokia assult rifle to the super massive Urimusake Cannon. Their space ships are primarily simply a vessel for delivering ground troops, as their vehicles are vacuum sealed for space combat. They fight in space by pretty much launching pods containing ground troops and vehicles into and onto enemy vessels, focusing on boarding and rampaging around the outside. They distrust Artificial Intelligence, as several hundred thousand Zidians were nuked under the orders of a military AI at some point in their developmental history. They are intested in the UMCW sector for two reasons. One, other races are there, so they have great opportunity to die in glorious battle. Two, the sector contains fairly rich metal deposits.
They group their ships into Carriers and Jumpers, with carriers being smaller and incapable of interstellar travel, and jumpers being much larger and carrying the inefficient variety of jump drive they use. Their ground forces are grouped into the Dresad, or infanty, Utilka, or vehicle pilots, Derubiu, or ship pilots, and Fazer, or command staff. Most Fazer are very capable warriors, be they infantry or pilots. However, a side effect of them being promoted based purely on combat skills is that most of them are not terribly adept tacticians, prefering to blindly rush the enemy. Those who are both skilled fighters and adept strategists are rare, and VERY dangerous.

Average Lifespan: 50 (can live much longer, but battlefield casualties keep it low.

Thier are four major clans in the Zidian empire. Each controls a fourth of the empire, has a seat on the ruling council, and is responsible for a specific area of society.
Clan Guntaru are the main armed forces. They control most of the armored assets and most of the infantry. They are the first to encounter Humans, and as such are the stereotypical Zidians.
Clan Druft are the main naval forces. They control most starships and fighters. They were encountered second, and tend to be calmer and more willing to think than the Guntaru.
Clan Hosut are the traders. They are more interested in money than the other Clans, but it is still somewhat hard to trust someone who would gladly sell you a razor and then slit your throat with it.
Clan Stebal are the scientists. They are in control of the new military technologies, but most other clans dislike them for not being as travelly and aggressive as the other clans.
this four clan plan was layed out by Zidia herself, so as to strengthen her chosen through specialization.
