Title: Game Night
Post by: RedVulnus on November 02, 2015, 09:39:48 pm
AKA let's get together in a game and play together.
Games can be proposed, free to play preffered so everyone can join, pay to play accepted but let's see if we can get the most people we can into a game.
Proposing a game
Name, price(or if it's f2p), player limitations, other details you'd like to add.

Current proposed games
1 TF2 (f2p, 12 per side, 24 per server)
2 Block and Load (f2p, five per side, 10 per server)
3 Minecraft (pay to play)
4 Terraria (pay to play)
5 starbound (pay to play)
6 Magicka (pay to play)
7 Salem (free to play)
8  Town of Salem (free to play)

Starting with two proposed f2p games that I have experience with, both are enjoyable and don't require you to pay money to have fun.

like it says, there just proposed games, we'll figure out what game we want to play and then figure out a time and day to do it. figured it'd be good to play with some people from here, and get some community things going.

I'm for Minecraft and Terraria too but they are paid...
Still, as I mentioned at another post, I don't think I'll play on my computer soon.

if we're going to do something like minecraft or terraria I'd prefer Starbound personally.

Also, what day of the week?

I like minecraft, starbound, or terraria. I've got team fortress 2, but it's uninstalled atm. Kind of stopped playing when it became less about game and more about hats.

I would prefer a Friday or Saturday. Reason being MY TIMEZONE CANT RESTRICT MEEEEEEEEEEE
Also, I have to do a fresh install of starbound then. I recall it not running too great on my rig tho. Hence i prefer terraria or minecraft.

There's Magicka I guess.

Also I'm normally good for a bit on Fridays and Saturdays, maybe Sundays depending on the game.

Magicka won't run on my computer.
No offense man, but your computer must be balls. The PC I owned eleven years ago could run Magicka.

saturnday, sunday, moonday, tuesday, odensday, thorsday, freyasday. I am available. mostly.

We could also play Salem. It was made by the same shitlords who made haven an hearth, except they abandoned it to a different developer who fixed a bunch of it's underlying issues. It's also completely free.

If its free and I am warned in advance so I can download it, I'm up for anything.

I'd be up for anything provided I either already own the game or it's free.

I'm generally available Thursday(usually from 4pm GMT ), Friday (all day), Saturday (all day), Sunday (Most of the day)

I set up some Strawpolls!

What Day Should It Be On? (http://strawpoll.me/5954361)

What Game Should Be Played? (http://strawpoll.me/5954375)

Also I forgot to put, we could play Cards Against Humanity with the Utterly Mad custom deck.

That would be nice. By the way is the Utterly mad pack updated with the latest dank memes?

If they were put on the CAH thread then they are in the deck.

At what time will we play?
Title: Re: Game Night
Post by: Bubbadoo on November 12, 2015, 10:33:07 am
I think it probably be a good idea to have it as an all day kind of thing since we have so many people in different time zones. This is Vulnus' decision though since he created the thread and everything.

I think it is time to post results of the Strawpolls. This is not final though, if something surpasses the top voted one I will edit this post. Unless this thread goes to the next page then I would go ahead and just post the new results, if any.

The top voted day is:
Saturday

The top voted game is:
Terraria

Will we be playing it this Saturday or a different week? Also for Terraria, we are going to need someone capable of running the server.

I had a server a long time ago, but it is still working now, so I am running the server.
Im up for this Saturday.

Did they fix the weirdness with the terraria server hosting? I saw AoE 2 mentioned, that would be great but I heard the multiplayer is difficult to get working properly.

The Steam multiplayer is a joke. We are not doing that. Also, I am busy streaming with a friend on Saturday, we got a 24h.

We had a family "gathering", and I couldn't check the computer for updates.  And, I didn't know what time to start the server.

Otherwise, the server is working.

I was reading berserk and trying to repair the walls after some godlike rangers killed one of my friends in salem and stole my waller (yes, my wallet) and I completely forgot what day it was. foolish guy cant stop stealing things. IM SORRY!!

also, if we can get it figured out, project zomboid would be fantastic.

Sorry for double posting but Im starting the Terraria server, and I am going to PM the IP to the people who say they will join (or just send it to most of the users). Aaand it's vanilla Terraria, no mods.
EDIT: IP is ************ port is ****.

Yo for anyone interested I'll be attempting to host some Killing floor tonight, don't have a specific time as of yet, but if you want to go ahead and jump in game at anytime just shoot me a message on steam, and for those not on my friends list and want to play feel free to add me.
As a note I'm using some weapon mods (which are an absolute bitch to get to work in this game) and a couple of custom maps from the workshop.

EDIT: IP is 94.73.29.179, port is 7777, tommorow I will delete it and post it again next Saturday for security reasons.
I entered, chop down a tree, and it took like a full minute before the wood popped out. I accidentally dropped my axe and the lost connections after like 3 minutes on the server.

10/10

So looking at it a bit more I don't think my comp can even run a server for tf2, but I'll see if I can find something. We might just need to find empty servers and such.

Catonym is a better host most likely. Wilson didn't have any problems with Caconym's host either. We have to use Hamachi though. And I know a way around the limit of 4 people per network if we go that route.

Can't host till December though, have almost no data left for my internets.
Or if you want to be even more patient, I'll likely have proper good broadband most likely by mid Feb.

Ok, having kinda misread/not know a couple of things, I should be alright to try this Saturday, if people are willing.
