Timesplitters 3 Future Perfect
Don't worry about playing the first two, the third one is the best one.

Downhill Domination (A crosscountry bike racing game with a touch of road rash)
Gauntlet, Dark Legacy
Soul Reaver 2 (if you like exposition)
I played a little soul caliber 3 (I think it was 3? it was the one with the scythe guy), but mostly for the character creator.
Shadow of the colossus (of course)
Shadow of destiny (A story about the philosophers stone and preventing your own death several times.)
Baldurs gate (if you are into that kind of thing)
Twisted Metal Black
Blitz playmakers (ONLY because it had exploding testicles. I hate sports games.)

Jak and daxter series, excepting the one where you fly around in an air ship which was the last one in the series I think.
They are not perfect, hell I remember some annoying instances that frustrated me to no end, but they were fun and they were one of those games from my child hood I still go back and play. The series also kind of grew up with it's audience a little. The first one was a lot more light hearted, which for the time in my life I played it was perfect, where as 2 was more serious and had a better overall plot, which for the time in my life I played that one it was really good.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is definitely one of the best.
The ATV series of games are pretty good.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted is a must have if you want a good arcade racing game.
I think someone mentioned Twisted Metal Black, but I think they were referring to Black the fps game.
If you can stand irritation, I'd try some of the Final Fantasy games on the system (talking about X and X-2 here).
Someone already recommended Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, I do agree it's a really fun game.
Splinter Cell is pretty good.
Oh and The Sly Cooper series is also a fun one.

Of the above listed, here is some that are unmentioned that are my favorites.
Tony Hawk: Underground  |  This game was my childhood, it's really fun.
Star Wars Battlefront  |  This was soooo great~
Champions: Return to Arms  |  This was an interesting game, it's a very hard RPG.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas  |  Now I didn't have this on the PS2, but on Steam, but I am pretty sure this was the one on PS2. This is one fun game!

JEGUS CHRIST HOW DO FORGET THING
"maximo; ghosts to glory" and "maximo vs. the army of zin," why I forget these? and dark cloud 1&2.

I think someone mentioned Twisted Metal Black, but I think they were referring to Black the fps game.
I was referring to twisted metal black, the car game. epic cheese man mentioned black.
I would say, probably avoid X-2, but thats my opinion.
HOW THE FUCK DID I FORGET BATTELFRONT!?

That SOCOM game. Any one of those.

I had two SOCOM games for my PSP, one was like traditional SOCOM which was awesome and while it was hard to control it was still fucking amazing. I remembered beating it and it felt like the story kinda ended without closure but it was probably because I sucked at the game. The other SOCOM game I owned was like this turn-based squad tactics one, at first I hated it because it felt like I got tricked into buying it because it looked like a 3rd person shooter on the screenshots.

But after giving it a chance it was probably the best one, if SOCOM ever came back I really hope it goes for the turn-based thing or at least try to do what the old Rainbow Six games did. Because that SOCOM that was advertising the Move sucked.

The only SOCOM game I played was on PSP and it was this real time tactics kind of deal that was hard to control because the tutorial left out how to make you units actually run instead of sneakily crouch walk. I remember flash bangs being so useful in it.

Yep that's the one. I got to the hotel mission and never got past it.

Are we talking about PSP now? I had WTF. That was a good game. It was basically warioware on the PSP. The PSP version of GTA china town wars was pretty good.
But mostly, it was about monster hunter. Precious memories.

also, monster hunter 1 and 2 on the playstation 2. unfortunately, you cant get to the final monsters anymore because the servers for those games are gone. same goes for the Wii games too.

Seek and destroy, protecting the proton kingdom against the Q-stein empire and EVERYONE was a tank or heavy duty vehicle. The war was won by a panzer 1 with a laser cannon, bounce bombs and jet engines. So much customization in such a good game. Some of it was fairly hard but mostly it was just fun. The badly disguised engrish made it even funnier. "The Q-Stein empire is final defeat!" The music is still engrained in my head and Major Rodeschild, a blue M1A1 Abrams with white stripes is still an inspiration for bravery for me to this day, along with lieutenant Ahmadi, Jevans was just shit. There's also panzer front, which I had no clue how to play apart from zooming around in the jet powered schnellpanzer and crawling as the ultra-pershing. Tanks are awesome man.
