You are located somewhere in the miles long trenches to the West of Ozero Pyaozero, the Sturm Stahl have been fighting here for many months however the 112th have just arrived four days ago. The objective of the trenches are two fold, to hold Maxim assault into Russia and to press back the Maxim and eventually take over Kuusamo, the infamous Citadel.
It is September 7th, 6:30 PM

You are patrolling through the dank and dirty trenches, walking past many of your comrades who lean against walls, trying to get an early sleep or others who remain alert and frightened. You hear a loud howl through the sky and instinctively duck as a crash of metal like the earth itself shaking forces a cloud of dust onto you and the others nearby. You shrug it off and continue your march. Your patrol shift ends in another thirty minutes, til then you may go wherever you wish and then you are to get an early rest...the 112th will be going over the top tomorrow.

You are watching the enemy lines through a periscope, you hear a crash of artillery fire farther down the trench. You turn to realize that no one is around you...you are all alone, your anti-social behavior made you refuse to go drinking with some of the other Austria-Hungarian lads earlier, instead you are alone. You are free to do whatever you want for the last thirty minutes before you are to go to an early sleep. You will be going over the top tomorrow.

You are currently in one of the small dugouts used as a residential area, he is the only American in the 112th and is treated with some mystery by the others. They refer to him only as 'The American' but he is treated well enough by them. Far off you hear the howl of artillery followed by a dreadful crash. You have time to do whatever you want for the next thirty minutes...You will be going over the top tomorrow.

The last of our fateful soldiers, you are currently standing about near the medical areas of the trenches, you can hear the yells and shouts of injured soldiers and occasionally a handgun round going off as they are put down for injuries too severe to recover. Tomorrow you will be going over the top with the rest of the 112th, til then you have free time until 7 PM. Maybe that rubbing alcohol is drinkable...

The first order of business for any Trenchy: Acquire Cigarettes and Drink. And he was going to do just that; with a quickness in his step he would head toward the 'mess hall' and see if there would be anyone to drink with.

First, im going to start looting peoples socks. Trench foot is no joke. then, i suppose just steal some booze and take potshots at the Maxim bastards. mabye get a few kills before the battle.

Trenton will just patrol like he's supposed to. Boring, I know, but doing anything else would be unprofessional, and potentially have fatal consequences for himself and those around him. Maybe he'll bonk one of the drousy guys over the head to wake him up, occasionally. Can't the fuckers wait even 30 minutes?!

Your patrol is fairly uneventful, though enemy shells continue to fall even after you go to sleep in a particularly comfy looking piece of trench. You fall asleep to the sound of raining death and the muck of a rainforest.

You manage to find a man who appears to have been very drunk and passed out, it's no hard problem taking the socks from his feet. You then take a quick potshot at the enemy trench though it's unlikely you hit anything. Finally you go to the 'mess hall' where you are handed a tasteless beer. After you drink you head to bed and fall asleep to the usual sound of war.

Finding cigarettes beyond sneaking into the officer's quarters is out of the question. But grabbing a tasteless Glory beer from the canister and mats that constitute a mess hall isn't so hard. You take one and chug for a few moments, chatting it up with your fellow soldiers about the coming day. Finally as it hits 7:00 you are sent to sleep, the next day's events still locked in your mind and dreams.

Everyone
You awaken as your comrades push you up and out of bed. You all grudgingly walk to the front trenches, seeing the dreadful ladders which must be ascended. A very soft clanking noise announces that at least one Walker will be making the charge with you, though for now it is out of sight. Your commander walks by, inspecting his troops for what may very well be the last time that they are seen. He gives a salute and many of the men give him one in return, everyone has the go ahead...but for a few moments no one moves, no one wants to be the first to go. Suddenly there comes a noise...a noise that seems to always accompany those brave few who go over the top, it plays off a basic speaker system found in the trenches and invigorates many.

Others go over the top rapidly, yelling in a loud and frightful unison and the clanking of steel grows louder as a pair of Steel Walkers rushes past, the noise is deafening when they pass you. They appear to be bipedal although hunched, have machine guns on both arms and what appears to be a large artillery cannon located in their belly.
You follow the others over the top, everything seems serene...the movement of the armies, the beautiful music. And then you hear the howl of howitzers...watch them blow a pair of comrades into bloody chunks and mist. Hear the rattle of machine guns and watch as your friends die in front of you. You can't stand here any longer...but you can't go backwards either.
In front and to the left of you, about twenty meters away is a hostile machine gun. The same is true to your right. Directly in front you can see a pair of snipers, picking off targets. About ten meters from the enemy trenches is a long line of barbed wire.
What do you do?

There is no room for fear or mercy with this badass music on.
Trenton aims his pistol at the man manning the right MG, and fires. He will repeat this until the bastard dies. Once the MG guy is dead, he'll do the same, but for the left MG.

You take a breath and fire your pistol at the right machine gunner. You see a small explosion of blood pop out of his chest as he is struck in the lung, going down and sending the gun crazy before it goes silent. You feel another shell crash down and blow away more of your comrades on that side however.
You then twist the gun around and in what must certainly be the luck of the draw, strike the other machine gunner directly in the skull, ending his life instantly. His arms slump slightly as he falls, sending the machine gun firing back at his own allies for a few moments before it also goes silent. Both machine guns are down, but it won't be long until someone else takes their place and opens up again.
[Good shots by the way...it's smart that you thought to aim, you actually scored a critical success on the second guy]

Now is time to enter the trenches. *Ominous music*
Trenton attempts to enter the trenches through where the left MG is. He'll burst* shoot any enemies he sees trying to man the MG. (Hopefully nearby enemies were killed when the MG turned around.)
*Not literally burst shoot, since its a semi-auto pistol. More like pulling the trigger really fast until the enemy stops moving.

Seeing the oppurtunity arise, Duncan will duel wield his pistols and follow behind Trenton. He'll cover his comrade's back so he won't get shot in the back.

Hans
You take the opportunity to go prone as bullets whiz by and thud into the meaty flesh that is your comrades. You hear an immensely loud clanking noise as a friendly Walker storms past you, it's guns blazing as it opens up on hostiles. The enemy snipers turn their attention to it and you let off a shot. Your shot sails through the air and, guessing on how half the man's body explodes outward and onto his friends, you guess you hit him directly in the skull.
The snipers see their friend go down and one of them takes aim and lets off a shot at you as well. The bullet whizzes through the air and strikes you in the chest, you feel like you've been kicked but thankfully your Trenchcoat has managed to stop the bullet, you are uninjured. [That was really close.]

Trenton
You rush into the trench, jumping into it at the point where the left MG had recently died. Immediately you notice several corpses, likely killed by the gunner. You hear a shooting farther down the trench and a quick examination shows a pair of enemy snipers, covered in gore where there ally had died. You also hear a grunt as a hostile soldier begins to walk towards your position, he hasn't noticed you yet thanks to the indent of the MG nest.

Duncan
You stay close to Trenton even while bullets ripple by you. To your right you see a friendly Walker charging the trench and then a moment later it stumbles and crashes headfirst, only a couple yards from the trench. From this angle you can see a foot wide hole in the chest. A hatch pops on the Walker and the Sturm crew begin to exit rapidly, but the howl of an artillery shell puts an end to that, blowing the Walker into chunks of steel and spraying them throughout the battlefield. You hop into the trench behind Trenton.

There is no room for mercy within the trenches. They're crowded enough as it is.
Trenton takes aim at the enemy soldier, and fire 3 shots towards his upper chest in quick succession. Once the soldier dies, Trenton will take carefully aimed shots at the snipers.

You take aim at the approaching soldier and fire three times at him.
Your first shot strikes him in the right leg, sending him downwards in a tumble, your next shot flies wide, striking into the dirt near him, but the final shot strikes him once in the torso. He yells in agony as he goes down, blood pouring out of his chest and leg.
One of the enemy snipers turns towards the sound of gunfire and pain and takes a rapid shot at you. The bullet flies straight on, striking the protection of your pilot's helmet and cracking it a bit. If you hadn't worn the helmet, the bullet would have killed you instantly.

Trenton takes aimed shots at the sniper who shot him.
Any remaining AP will be used for aimed shots at the other sniper.

Trenton
You take aim and fire a single shot at the opposing sniper. The bullet sails well and strikes the sniper in the skull, sending him sprawling.
You are then forced to reload but you manage one last shot at the other sniper who appears to be wearing a pilot helmet much like yourself. Your bullet strikes him in the torso, but not before he lets off a shot of his own towards you.
The bullet barely nicks your left hip but you don't even feel the sting thanks to your armor.

Rhodri runs up to the sniper wearing the pilot helmet, and shoots him in the dick. Then he steals the sniper's pilot helmet and trenchcoat.

Duncan will stay behind Trenton, walking backwards to make sure that no one shoots them from behind. He'd fire at any bastard that'd try though with his duel pistols.

Hans starts firing indiscriminately into the mob of enemies. no need to be picky, it is a war after all.

Trenton
You replace your damaged gear with the sniper's fresher gear, it seems you are one of the first in the trench...if feels surprisingly empty...almost as if everyone retreated the second you began the attack.
Duncan
You watch Trenton replace his gear and are keeping an eye on the trench, watching his back. You see an enemy soldier peek his head out at the far corner of the trench, though it's too fast for your to get a shot off.
Hans
You notice a singular enemy, running away down the trench line in a vertical direction. It's no hard problem for you to take a shot at him as he runs. His right leg explodes outward in a brutal shower of gore, he goes down with a horrific scream as blood guzzles out of the stump. He's alive for now...but given the bleeding he'll probably die in the next two minutes or so.

It's easy enough to blow the screaming man's head to kingdom come, splattering a fine layer of gore throughout the trench. It's surprisingly empty inside...though you're unsure why, others of the 112th are gradually filling into the trench though by the numbers you can tell you've lost many allies.

Trenton proceeds further into the trenches in whatever direction goes further into the trench. :P

Duncan will warn Trenton, "Trent, I saw one behind us. I have your six though." He will then proceed to back-pedal with his back pressed against his friend's.

Trenton and Duncan
You walk down the mucky and bloody trench...it's quiet, the artillery fire has gone almost completely quiet and very few bullets are being shot. You see allies jumping into the trenches a little farther ahead and sprinting about, apparently executing fallen enemies. It's peaceful...maybe you've finally won the fight?
And then a dreadful yell of terror breaks the peaceful tension
"BloodGas! Everyone! BloodGas! Fall back!
You've only ever heard stories of the Maxim BloodGas, you see it sweep through the trenches, a smoky red gas with extreme lethality. The men ahead of you begin to put on gasmasks and tuck their sleeves and clothing, apparently attempting to leave no skin exposed. The other soldiers up ahead attempt to sprint away...but the gas leaps forward at such a rapid speed that they have no chance. You watch as they make deep suctioning breaths and blood pours out of their mouths, they collapse as their skin is eaten away leaving a gory mess.

You look farther down the trenchline and notice a peculiar red gas flow throughout the trenches, men appear to be running away from it...this is the infamous BloodGas that all recruits are told of.

Trenton curls up into a ball and tucks his hands into his newly-acquired trench coat.
(I always imagined he kept his gas mask on at all times, so I didn't include that in the post.)

Duncan will quietly don his gas-mask and put on his gloves. With no skin uncovered [because any good pilot's helmet would cover the entire head and neck area] he redrew his pistols and waited.

Trenton
You curl into a ball as the red gas envelops you, you're pretty well protected but you still feel minor stings here and there as small bits seep through. It's a good thing your mask was on when this hit or you could have easily become a melted figment.
Hans
You flick on your gasmask rapidly as the gas rapidly approaches you, it speeds past and to your position with an extreme speed, it snaps away at your exposed hands and you feel a warm and wet liquid...the feeling of blood as it wraps around and tears away skin. If you don't protect your hands soon...you may lose them permanently.
Thankfully due to your small size, your clothing protects the rest of your body extraordinarily well.
Duncan
You don your gasmask and gloves rapidly as the gas envelops you. Thanks to your rational thinking you were able to make a small checklist of your body parts and made sure that you were safely protected. You then re-draw your pistols and wait for anything else to happen.
Everyone
Farther into the reddish cloud you hear the gurgling and thudding of your comrades, very few of your allies in the 112th have survived up to this point...a rough estimate would be about thirty. The trench you are currently in seems to go in a fairly straight line for as far as the eye can see...which is practically nothing considering the gas blocks most of your vision.

Trenton goes to his happy place in his mind of odd fetishes until the gas is gone.

Everyone
You all manage to save yourselves from the vicious blood gas. You sit there for what feels like forever but in reality is only about ten minutes. The gas dissipates and everything is quiet once more. You see a squad of six Sturm soldiers begin to rush down the line of the trench, armed with short range guns. Time to start cleaning up what's left of the filth.

Search the corpses for some fackin' gloves andwear them if a pair are found. Advane through the trenches with my pistol aimed forward, in case of surprise soldiers.
