also, DOS version, which is better in a lot of ways, or Windows titanium version, which i already have at the ready, and runs better, but for some reason lacks music and changes a bunch of things?
EDIT:after seeing the INSANE amount of work it is to get dosbox to record with OBS, im just going to go with the windows one.

Okay, I give up on the pre sequel. I can't decide whether to play Total War Shogun 2's Fall of the Samurai expansion or play Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, as I've been really getting into both. Opinions?

Total war. very few (good) lets plays of it.
also, i recorded a forum themed xcom episode today, and we can play ss2 in a minute bubbadoo. also, in that xcom game, you failed me. a lot.

SHIT I REMEMBER THAT.
We wanted to play SS2 a while ago, and me and Bubba had gotten to SHODAN before it started fucking up.
I managed to die during the cutscene, and we got booted back to the elevator. The cutscene wouldn't start again and we still had the objective of "Meet Dr. (whatever the fuck her name was)."
Then AJ wanted to join, so we restarted the server.
Cue SYSTEM FUCK 2.
Namely, AJ was always in the void, I got to run around in a completely empty Von Braum, and Bubba just couldn't run the game. Then came the alternate colors. Then the negative Fallout guy.
Also I had a ball of drugs chasing me around the cargo bay.

I may have internet back on my computer soon so I'll probably start recording stuff again once that happens, haven't done anything in a long time and my new channel is pretty much empty.
Debating between STALKER CoP, C:DDA and Fallout New Vegas for my first LP though
Although I could do Dungeon Keeper if I can ever stop being awful at it.

Thats pretty much how I play F:NV all the time these days anyway, although I find it difficult to stick it a character for too long and end up making new ones and deleting old ones all the time. Few of my characters live more than a week or two, although I guess I could solve that by playing with permadeath.

F:NV allows for some great self imposed challenges, especially with the Project Nevada mod allowing you to set combat to be almost realistically deadly for no good reason, although I do it because I enjoy the slightly more realistic feel of almost always getting instantly killed by a headshot or a few rounds to the chest.
PN isn't the only one I use for this but I've forgot the names of the others.

im finally going to get my mechwarrior 2 thing off the ground tommorrow hopefully, im just going to edit out everything that isnt robot fighting and turn off my microphone. too much ****ty commentary on youtube, not enough giant robot fighting.

well, went with mechwarrior 4 because OBS hates 2 really bad, but still just going to put up the missions without voice or any other things. except for the few times in the beginning of the series (Re: first few missions i did) i opened the menu to change controls because they were fucked up. other than that, should be good for episode one tomorrow. it still has awesome music and robot fighting, so who cares.

I do "small" lets plays for friends, but small is a massive understatement. The videos always end up being quite long and I run out of things to be entertaining about. Any tips on managing my time better? I'm sure keeping myself interesting would be less of a problem if I could keep better track of my time.

Just set a timer to go off every 20 minutes, and stop and restart every twenty minutes. I'm just going on a one mission basis for this right not.

I just nabbed a copy of DS2 Scholar of the First Sin on PC for 19 bucks, as an upgrade for my existing copy. I'm gonna lets play that once it gets done downloading, IE like a week or two.

I planned on having a consistent streaming schedule with LPs of SS13. Look how that's gone. I only stream on Thursday and my Youtube is more bare than a sterile virgin.

No, I mean its gonna take a couple weeks of straight downloading before I can play it, unless my dad remembers to download it at work tomorrow, which is about a 50/50 shot. I'm gonna LP it the second I get it though, and I want people to badger me about it so I don't forget.

My dad got it downloaded at work, I'm just waiting for him to get home now. I'm thinking I'm gonna play as a mixed strength/pyromancy build, or a mixed dextarity/sorcery build.

As it turns out, my graphics card was clogged with cat hair. The problem has been fixed, and the LP is back on. I was getting literally no airflow to it.

Would anyone like to watch some SS13 commentary videos, where you can see all my robust misadventures on Goonstation? I feel that the SS13 LP'er area is niche enough to warrant my existence while I work on better things for the channel and stream things. I can upload in HD, there's quality settings to ensure everyone here can watch them, and I can provide enough BS commentary that it might prove to be entertaining enough.
Do you know about PlumpHelmetPunk? He did SS13 playthroughs and he was pretty cool, I kinda wanna do something like that but with more of that AJ charm.

If you put on some music, make it fit thematically, then it'll work. Honestly the problem I have with lets plays is that they're quickly edited messes that normally have uncharismatic hosts once you grow up and realize the big names kinda get on your nerves after a while.
And the reason why I haven't recorded any SS13 stuff is because I want to make it look "good", like have a style or theme to it, when in reality it'd probably just ruin what I'm setting out to do. Fill a niche void of lacking 2D spessmen LP'ers. Ever since PlumpHelmetPunk quit playing it hasn't been the same, a lot of the commentators nowadays don't really talk much or really explain their motives. And I even chatted with one of them once, they say that they really don't have a reason as to why they push people over and ink their hair bright pink.
I can see that being difficult, because SS13 is a real !lolrandom! game that requires either the host to play up the kook factor or be the straight man and wonder why everyone is so weird. I might actually record soon, because I've been getting ideas for jokes and after me playing as The GRINCH in LLJK4 (yes they have a Admin Antag known as the Grinch, my goal was to ruin Spacemas before Spacemas even started), I was basically a God Clown that decided who lived and who died. I had the Captain's spare ID and I killed him, the HoP, I saved the crew by calling the shuttle, I escaped from captivity using wits alone. My siblings were watching this go down with glee, so I decided that I might be funny enough to actually record 2D Spacemen Commentary.
And my escapedes all ended up fruitless. Why? Because I finally escaped being trapped in the Captain's office by busting open a window and using the jetpack to fly into space. Well when I went down to the escape shuttle it had 3 seconds left. The shuttle ended up hitting me as it arrived and I exploded into gibs. My second goal was to kill Santa. And Santa was the one driving the shuttle. Ho ho, get fucked.

Did you know some code wizards for some SS13 branches are working on fulton mechanics for the game? Apparently it is going to be part of the traitor cargo tech's arsenal, where they can fulton items and lockers to a set point or something.
