Terry Pratchett was one of my favourite authors, one of the most well known and well respected authors in Britain and the guy that inspired me to start writing, although I've never been very good at it. I grew up reading his discworld series and his death is almost a personal matter to me.
Terry was battling with an early onset of Alzheimers for many years, he even still wrote a few books while struggling through it and brought a lot of attention to the disease in the hopes of finding a cure for it one day. He'll be sorely missed by me and many others.
April 28 1948 - March 12 2015 Aged 66
Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.

I believe he's mostly been relying on co-writers for the last few due to the severity of his Alzheimers, so it's unlikely that anything will affect whatever he was currently writing.
