"It had been so... so long since then. A time when I didn't live on the road, where I didn't have to keep a sawn-off on one hip and shells on the other. Where the style of dress was style over substance... but that was long ago and I'm getting old. Now it's up to the young to keep on going, to face the dark winds that my generation left for them. Be strong where I could not. I'm sorry... so sorry..." -Torn message found on a corpse.
Darkwinds: Blood and Diesel

It had been 40 years since the United States was left in shambles by a devastating war leaving most of the population dead, starving, and dehydrated. Fresh water and food are prizes to be fought for to the death with the new generation of warfare. Cars once used for everyday life had transformed along with their drivers to be used in the art of survival. Vehicles are now outfitted with weapons and armor, turning them not only into homes but the livelihoods of who are left.
Now fill what's left of the oil and burn rubber. Make the wastes shake as your engines roar.
Char Sheets and Vehicles-
So A few things to note: Those born before the war would be at least 55 and would be able to read and write and can have four good traits. Most people after the war are usually illiterate however those born after the war however can have three skills instead of two but only can have a maximum three good traits.

Now onto one of the more important parts of this RP: Your cars [and trucks, planes, boats, etc.]
You can decide to start with either a normal four-door car, a motorcycle, or a pick-up truck. You start with 20 points to put into armor and can distribute those points into: Front, Back, Left, Right, Bottom, and Top. Note though that motorcycles can only put points into: Front, back, top, and bottom. They are easier to turn and are harder to hit however so it makes up for it.
Now onto vehicle weapons. Most vehicles will simply start with the car rifle that starts with a full clip of 20. Note however that the driver cannot reload a weapon and drive at the same time so having someone ride with them will be important. You have to attach the weapon to either the front, back, left, or right unless its a special weapon and I tell you otherwise.
There are 3 types of tires, each with their own set of advantages and disadvantages. There are normal tires which are easy to find but damage easily. Off-Road tires that function well on and off the road but are harder to find. And finally, the armored tires which are hard to destory but extremely rare. All the starting vehicles start with normal tires but can be outfitted with all three (even the motorcycle).
