Well, if you do the ones in Oblivion very early on, you can get some moderately good loot of the corpses of dead allies.

Besides that, Dark Brotherhood all the way.
Gone. Cheers guys.

Dark brotherhood is the best. Especially the one where you get locked in a house and have to kill the other guests one at a time.

A thing I just noticed, in all the fallout games up to 4, the bombs fell on the night of October 23rd, 2077. In fallout 4, they retconned the time they fall to be in the morning of October 23rd 2077. Probably to make the pre-war environment more visible to the player. The history of "the great war" on the wiki now uses the time referenced in fallout 4 as the official time.

Oh god, the fighters guild.
"Here bitch, go kill a mountain lion in some old ladies basement."

...I got tripped up a bit because I didn't realize I had to scroll down and subsequently tell him to explain the rat problem further, before the quest would officially start. Curse you Knights of The Nine, for clogging my dialogue with annoying topics.

Also, my sidequest got FURTHER sidetracked by my deciding to help Glarthir deal with that pesky conspiracy of his. Got out if it with only a 120 bounty, 40 of that being a guard that was attracted by my offing Davidia or whatever his name was.

I personally just pretend the fallout world rotates in the opposite direction from our Earth. I also ignore that Fallout 3 is a thing.
Gone. Cheers guys.

Why is fallout 3 suddenly getting shit on so much? The environment was fantastic, most of the characters were pretty well done, the voice acting was as horrendous as you'd expect from Bethesda and it had Three Dog.

Also the Fighters Guild has always only been there for early characters to get a bit of money, it's mostly fucking pointless, it was only mildly better in Skyrim because of the werewolf ability you got from it, which was fortunately less annoying than Morrowinds werewolf ability.

The guns however were full-on derp, because apparently DC has a WEIRD selection of pre-war firearms. Like an ancient .32 revolver, and some anomalous bolt-action with no sights that magically makes .32 rounds hit a lot harder.

Fighters Guild is actually useful if you have the dosh for skill training, because a lot of good mid-level combat trainers only service guild members. Annoyingly, I wanted to do that but t turns out I can level blades without anyone's help. Swinging around a big-ass claymore because you don't have enough MP to cast your favorite instakill spll more than twice in a row tends to do that.

I've always shit on Fallout 3. It's a pretty crappy game on it's own merits that I think was really only popular because of the setting, and is just a steaming pile of rancid dogshit compared to New Vegas. Guns sucked and had no power behind them. Quests were not usually very well thought out. It was possible to accidentally beat the game and accordingly kill yourself within a few minutes of starting a game. The environment wasn't fantastic, it was a few well planned locations complemented by a whole lot of sparse, shitty ones, and the color pallet was basically just a bunch of different colors of muddy gray. The only reason it didn't feel like a garbage game is because it was "new". Kinda like Oblivion when it came out.

What I was really meaning with that comment though is that if the earth spun backwards, late morning on the east coast could be early evening on the west coast (if we define morning loosely). But you'd have to ignore Fallout 3 (set in DC and still saying the nukes came at night).
Gone. Cheers guys.

Oblivion still has great sidequests. Some of the best and most memorable ones in the series. Who could forget Whodunnit, or Shadow over Hackdirt, or the entire Shivering Isles, or Nothing you can possess. So many great quests.
Thanks Peri for making me question muh sexualities once again.

You know I still really want to know if Sheogorath in Skyrim is actually the PC from Oblivion.

Fan assumption is that it's heavily implied.

The fact that I can remember the details of every single one of the quests you mentioned really says something. Fingers of the Mountain had a pretty good reward at the end of it, if you did it right, and Sheogorath's shrine quest was fucking great. The part where you could go and grab the quest AFTER completing shivering isles and it's Haskill that talks to you was unexpected. Where did that attention to detail go? How about "The Ghost Ship of Anvil?" or "The Sirens Deception?" How about my favorite "An Unexpected Voyage?" Oblivion has it's pretty places too, without modding the textures I mean. The people all have potato faces, but the rest of the game looks fairly decent all things considered.

You know I still really want to know if Sheogorath in Skyrim is actually the PC from Oblivion.
I always assumed he was just the real sheogorath on vacation, and then forgot his champion was left in charge... or something. You know how Bethesda likes to retcon it's lore, who knows.

You know what game has water quality that really holds up? Half-Life 2.

The car chases in just cause 3 are great. You can get rebels to drive you around while you stand on the roof and shoot at baddies. If you shoot tires out of cars they flip. Only problem is you cant shoot out of cars, but you can shoot out of bikes.

I remember traversing the whole map on just the parachute and grappling hook, and never touching the ground. In Just cause 2 I mean. That hook is the best hook. I also like the bit where you can grab vehicles with it as they go by and then attach the other end to the ground and watch them flip the fuck out. Just Cause 2 was great with the way it played with physics and environmental destructibility.

I bought Just Cause 2 after playing the demo, tried it out for like 4 hours and then never touched it again.
