Also, my friend keeps trying to beat the map I uploaded on Ultra-Violence. Without saving. I keep telling him to start saving because he's died a dozen times.

Looks like the new DOOM is going to be good. Getting reviews in from countries that have it, and they are pretty positive. Judging by what I've been reading, Bethesda produced the game but had very little to do with actual development. Either that or they pulled their heads out of their asses just long enough to realize that if they fucked up with something as iconic as DOOM, it would've meant bad news for them.

Back to Dwarf Fortress again, I plan to let my undead minions work for me. Only problem is I need a way to trap an animal safely away from my minions because I'm a vampire. D:

Id software developed NuDOOM, beth only published.

Beth as a publisher aren't that bad.

They published Dishonered. So they have a decent track record as a publisher, that game was pretty fun. And NuDoom's single player looks SO GOOD. Will still have to wait and see, but, first impressions of that part of the game are good.

That's fine. Old dooms engine is pretty good. Did you see somebody recreated DayZ on the doom engine? More over, do you know about "total chaos?" It is a game built on the OpenGL version of the doom engine. Here's a teaser video for reference.

It is in fact the DOOM engine. You can pull off some amazing stuff with an old engine, if it's built right. Doom 3 ran off a heavily modified form of that old engine too.
Perhaps some day Bethesda will make use of that stability and reliability.

Hnnng. Well, by now the Doomworld frontend has it up, so that link might work:

The only problem is I've been in an updating frenzy fixing stuff. So while it says the latest version is 1.2, the latest is actually 1.4. And the various download mirrors might all be retaining different versions. That is why linking directly to the FTP underneath is more efficient. :V
