Anything less than full dive VR is  just kinda a disappointment, gonna stick to keyboard and mouse until we hit that point.
Thanks Peri for making me question muh sexualities once again.

I can see that being impossible, unless you want your realistic shooter to also hurt like hell. Though I can see that approach being more successful for h-games. :V

You don't HAVE to simulate pain. Just like your game doesn't have to have a hunger and thirst system. Varying degrees of realism.

Team "We still got nearly the same scores despite this" has a better ring to it. owo

Also, back to Hexen modding derps. Already at that part where I now have most of the framework for skill path perks. Now that I can handle them in scripting instead of purely Decorate work, I can also else If/Else sequences instead of unwieldy Decorate jump functions. Also means I don't HAVE to ensure that two buffs triggered by the same event (like getting hit) can't ever both be acquired by the player.

Am I a bit overstocked for not being past the first zone?

He'd have at least one of the better rifles if he had I think. I'm a bit more interested in knowing where he managed to find a gold fish in the cordon though. I also see he got the hidden merc suit from the stalker village.

I played through Clear Sky with arsenal overhaul and maxed out difficulty. Cool mod, but playing it again made me realize why I didnt enjoy clear sky as much. Two things, the first is that the "factions" are pretty poorly fleshed out. Except for the swamp, I never had any of the factions actually fighting with one another. When they do fight, and they call out for assistance, the AI will either lose badly, or do amazingly and finish up whatever it wanted before you can get there. I cleared the swamp without lifting a finger. clear sky basically did everything themselves. The second was that while the map is very open and you can basically go about doing whatever, a lot of times you are pressured to GO GO GO! DO THE THING! STRELOK IS GETTING AWAY!!!! The Limensk area was amazing, but I never really got to experience it much. I wanted to take my time, explore a bit, but time constraints. Not a bad game, just unsatisfying.

Call of pripyat is definitely a step up. It's not as big, which is meh, but overall it's generally a better game in most other respects.

Why, ZDoom. Whyyyy? Why do you seem to lack any way for me to directly bump Hexen-style armor class by a desired amount? ;w;

I did exactly that on my first SoC playthrough too. With the suppressed pistol you find fairly close by, if I recall.

I bought the Fort 9 from Sidrovich(?) for that small accuracy bonus.
The AK-74SU has about the same accuracy but has better damage and iron sights.
