I had a lot of fun with Dishonored in my pacifist undetected run.
It's too bad actual nonlethal options were so limited in the game. Spent everything improving Blink and that was it. All the more interesting toys are lethal.
Yeah I do have to agree, I always went the nonlethal route in the game and it kinda got monotonous after a while. I mean you either just outright avoid the enemy (BEST OPTION) or you just run through chocking and darting everyone.
I mean Metal Gear Solid wasn't much better in terms of nonlethal, since the most effective way was MK2+Headshot=CQC, but you kinda had more toys to work with like the Playboys, masks, and in 4 you had the emotion magazines which were pretty fun.
But I personally feel that it makes sense in Dishonored's context. The whole game is a test of temptation, will you use your powers to avoid combat and use them as a humble helper of people, or will you use your powers to gain power, feeding into what the Outsider expects you to do. But that's also kinda the problem with Dishonored 2, from what the trailer shows, it goes the High Chaos bad ending route. Where Emily becomes an assassin with Corvo, with the Outsider playing them both. But they could also allow you to chose if you were a low chaos or high chaos Corvo much like it was in Knife of Dunwall.
