Name: Unknown
Age: Unknown, estimated late thirties to mid fifties
Gender: Male
Nationality: Unknown
Alias: Spades
Background: Came to the attention of our agency in late 2020 after robbing a bank in Washington DC. Back tracking through criminal records from international agencies we believe this man is responsible for numerous bank robberies in numerous countries. Thanks to one of our officers Confidential Informants there was a ‘Spades’ working for the Gonjeti crime family in the 90’s. Whether or not this is our man is yet to be determined, but it is a lead that we will be pursuing.
He appears to be an expert with firearms and explosives. He is rather crass in nature and foul mouthed. Definite psychological issues.

Name: Liam Macgregor
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Nationality: American
Alias: Clubs
Backgrounds: Born in Detroit into an Irish family that had recently immigrated into the country. He grew up working an honest job, and at the age of 19 attempted to join the US military. He did not make the cut and spent the next couple of years working in his father’s business before joining a PMC with ‘interests’ in Africa. To put it bluntly the PMC installed a dictator and was backing him in a rather profitable arrangement.
According to our sources this is where he met Spades and joined him. According to our resources he was about 22 years of age when they met.

Name: Ivan Nicholson
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Nationality: Russian
Alias: Heart
Background: Born…somewhere in Russia, our network can’t seem to find the exact location. He was involved in several criminal organizations. He moved to the US at the age of 21 and got involved with Spades during a bank robbery. From what information we have Spades and Clubs walked into the bank after Ivan had started the robbery. Spades and Clubs went through the robbery with him, and he knew he couldn’t try anything. Evidently he impressed Spades, since he didn’t end up a body in the river. He’s been connected with Spades and crew since then.

Name: Unknown
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Nationality: Unknown
Alias: Diamond
Background: We don’t know shit about this guy. All we do know is he works with Spades and his crew. Find some intel NOW!

Chapter 1 part 1

Spades walked into the mid-sized, overtly decorated bank behind his two masked compatriots and yelled “Everyone get on the ground and toss your phones into the middle of the room. If you pull out a weapon or shout for help I will shoot you. If you stand up I will shoot you. And tellers if you press one of those alarm buttons I will shoot you.”
One of his friends grabbed one of the tellers and started for the vault as Spades leaned against the tellers counter. He looked around, keeping an eye out for anyone trying anything. He glanced at the teller still behind the counter and calmly asked “So…how is your day going?”
She stared at him, not saying anything. Spades shrugged and looked out the glass door of the bank at the cars driving down  the street and said “I mean, I guess I ruined it, but trust me I don’t want to kill you, I just want the bank’s money. So the only reason I’d shoot you is if you tried for a gun or to set an alarm off on purpose. I mean I understand honest mistakes.”
The teller stared at him and then nodded “I won’t try anything, okay?”
Spades nodded and looked over his shoulder at the hallway leading to the vault. His man was nowhere to be seen, but that was to be expected, he was getting the money after all. Spades shrugged again and turned to see the security guard pointing her pistol at him. He sighed and looked at her before saying “Come on sweetie, you don’t want to do that.”
The guard stuttered out “p-put the g-g-gun down!”
“Sweetie, that isn’t going to happen, so I suggest you just put the weapon on the ground and I won’t have to shoot you between those pretty eyes.” He said, lifting his rifle and aiming it at her.
She started tell him to put the gun down again and he pulled the trigger, causing several of the hostages to scream as her body fell to the ground. “Dumb bitch. Okay, that a good example for the rest of you? You do what I tell you to do!” Spade said.
Finally the man he sent to the vault came back and looked the body “What the fuck happened? Nobody was supposed to get shot!”
Spades looked at the man and said “And you were supposed to take care of the security guard BEFORE you went to the vault! Next time you stick to the fucking PLAN!”
“Whatever, let’s get out of here!” the man said, and started for the back door.
Spades followed his two accomplices through the back hallway and out the back door. The two of them tossed their gear and the loot in the back and started to get in when Spades said “Uh-uh boys, step out of the van, hands up.”
The two of them did as they were told, looking at Spades like he was crazy. “Come on man, what’s this about?”
“Business, just business.” Spades said, shooting the two men before closing the van’s back doors.
He walked to the drivers seat and got in, driving several blocks away before stopping in a parking complex and moving the loot into his muscle car. He smiled as he drove out of the parking complex and called Clubs “Yo, got the money. Didn’t even need you guys, and the schmucks I hired, taken care of.”
Clubs sighed over the phone and said “Let me guess, the cops will find their bodies in the back of the bank.”
“yep. Gotta go, see you at the bar Clubs.”

Chapter 1 part 2
Spades smiled to himself as he watched the TV hanging over the bar that was actively playing the news story about the bank robbery. He took a drink from his beer and looked around. As per usual for this kind of place there was several of the local ‘ladies of the night’ looking for customers. One of them walked up to Spades and went through what he imagined was her usual pitch. He sent her on her way with a free hundred-dollar bill and his usual word of advice to get out of that business.
As she walked towards the door Clubs whistled as he walked by and took a seat next to Spades. Spades looked at him and shook his head as Clubs said “Wassup Zachary?”
Spades shrugged, still not used to being called that by anybody, and said “Not much, stayed up late working on accounting books for the boss. Finally got some time to grab a few beers and have a night out, what about you?”
“Had to take care of the kids, but the missus is going to keep an eye on them, told me I needed to have a night out after a long day of work.”
Spades nodded, figuring the bit about the kids and the wife was true, and after all Clubs had a family he was taking care of. Spades was just surprised Clubs had gone along with doing a job in his home city. “And how’s good ol’ Saint Nicholas doing? Thought he was going to come grab a beer with us.”
“Told me he had something come up and needed to take care of it. He told me to have a beer on him.” Clubs said, motioning to the bartender and asking for a couple of beers.
“Shame, I was hoping to get that casserole recipe from him. Guess I’ll have to get it another time.” Spades said, finishing his beer and putting two twenty dollar bills on the bar. “Anyway, I need to head home. Have fun.”
Clubs nodded and said his good bye as Spades walked to the door. He sighed into the cold night air and walked to the sidewalk to hail a cab. One pulled over and he got in “Take me to Third Street.”
The driver acknowledged his destination and began driving. Spades looked out at the bright lights that were quickly passing by the car and thought back to a simpler time in his life. One where he just walked into a business and threatened the owner, talked some tough shit, and then brought the money back to his boss. It wasn’t long before the driver pulled over and told him they were at his destination. Spades handed the driver a hundred-dollar bill and told him to keep the change as he walked towards his apartment building.
Spades unlocked the door and walked into his apartment, tossing his keys into a small metal bowl that sat next to the door. He walked into his bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror. It was several minutes later he asked himself “Are you Spades, or are you Vincent? I can’t tell anymore.”
He pulled out a razor and shaved his beard off. He blinked a few times and decided he was going to a barber in the morning, he was terrible at this. He sighed and leaned toward the mirror to inspect himself. Scruffy beard that was now missing a couple spots, hair that looked like it had been put through the spin cycle of a washing machine, and a few scars that he couldn’t quite remember getting. “Jesus, what the fuck happened to me? Well, probably the bullets and the knife fights and the grenades and…all the other shit.”
Spades walked out of the bathroom and towards the bedroom. Once there he sat down and grabbed the landline, dialing a number. Nobody picked up so he left a voice mail “Hey, it’s Vincent. I know it’s been a while and all but I thought I’d let you know I’m doing good, the job is paying really well now. I’m going to be moving again though, I guess that’s one of the benefits, I travel a lot. Anyway, I just wanted you to know I’m doing okay, and that you shouldn’t worry. I’ll be all right. I gotta go now so I’ll talk to you later.”
He sighed yet again and pulled out his wallet. He tossed a couple hundred dollars on the bed for the cleaning lady and left a note to the land lord telling her he had to suddenly leave that night for business and that he had left the money for the leftover rent in the cupboard, which he did. After that he left the apartment and took a walk to a barbershop he knew was always open late. He walked through the door and took a seat in one of the chairs. The barber walked up behind the chair and asked “What kind of cut do you want?”
“Shave the beard off, then shave the head, buzz cut though I don’t want to get an ingrown hair. I have to wear helmets a lot.” Spades said, looking at the mirror in front of him.
“Smart man.”
The barber provided some idle chitchat while he cut Spades hair. When he was done Spades stood up and handed the barber a pair of tens. “Good work, keep the change.”
Spades walked out of the shop and took a ride to the air port, time to set up another job.

They had pulled the job off perfectly and Spades was smiling in the back of the van as they parked and Diamond popped the rear door open. Hearts walked up to the back and caught the bag Spades tossed to him before walking towards the car they had left here. Spades tossed another bag to Clubs and started for the door.
He stopped short as Clubs pulled a gun on him and shook his head. "Sorry Spades, but they're threatening my family. I got no choice."
Spades looked at him and said "So you're going to kill me! You could have talked to me and I would have gotten it sorted!"
Clubs shook his head again "They know where my kid goes to school Spades, they know where my wife works. I don't put a hole in you here then my family is dead."
Spades closed his eyes and sighed. "Okay." Spades tossed the last bag out of the door and "Do it Judas, after everything I did for you. I made you a rich man, and now you turn into another Brutus."
Clubs said "It's not like that Spades, but for what it's worth I always admired how well you planned these things. The criminal underworld is going to miss one of it's greatest artists." And with that he fired two shots into Spades chest.

two days later

Spades sat up and looked at the old woman that had found him lying on the floor of that van bleeding and wondered why she had helped him. In these parts if someone is wearing a bullet proof vest with an automatic rifle you left them for dead. But not this lady, and he couldn't help but wonder why.
She spoke without even looking at him "My son died like that. The police said that his gang turned on him over some kind of deal."
Spades stood up and walked over to her. "I'm sorry to hear that. What was his gang called?"
She stopped her knitting and thought for a moment before saying "The Scorpions or something like that, why?"
Spades looked out of the window in she was sitting in front of and said "Oh, no reason. Just curious is all. Thanks for patching me up but I gotta go."
He walked out and checked the address before walking down the road as he pulled out his cell phone.
He dialed a number and waited for the answer. "This is Vincent Gonjetti, and I need five boys with autos and vests."
"Vincent's dead, go to hell."
"Motherfucker ask Vito Gonjetti if his brother Vince is dead then!" Spades said as he walked down the road.
"Geez, okay I'll ask him, hang on a second you fuck." The man said, obviously pissed but not wanting to risk bringing the Bosses wrath by disrespecting his son.
Suddenly another voice was on the line "Vince? That really you?"
Vincent Gonjetti, AKA Ace of Spades AKA Spades, smiled and said "Yeah Vito, it's me. Now can I get the boys I need? Oh and I need fifty grand."
Vito sighed "Okay, I can get you what you need, now where do you need it?"
Vincent gave him the details and found a hotel to wait a few days in.

Four days later

Vincent walked out in front of the bar with two of his men and took aim. "Hey Scorpions tell Satan I said hello!"
The three of them opened fire and mowed down everything standing in the bar. Vincent walked through the front door with a gas tank and started pouring it all over the bar. As he walked back out he tossed a match on the gas and set the place on fire.
As they rode down the road his phone rang and he answered it. The voice on the other end said "We took care of the rest of them. There won't be anymore 'scorpions' around here."
Vincent smiled "Good. Meet you at the airport to head home."
With that he hung up. The fifty grand had been delivered, the scorpions were taken care of, and now he just had to talk  to his father. That would be fun.

Ten days later
Spades sat down on the park bench next to the man in sweat pants and an NY University hoodie and pulled out a box of cigarettes. He offered one to the man and then pulled out his lighter. As he lit the man's cigarette he said "You know this reminds of your first job. Afterwords you smoked twenty of these things."
The man recoiled and looked at Spades. Spades gave him a grin and said "So, you like the work? I like my new face. Cost me a pretty penny but it was worth it. So, how's the daughter doing Clubs?"
Clubs relaxed and looked at the lake in the park before saying "She's doing good, I dropped her off at a friends this morning. Their having a little party. So...why am I not dead right now?"
Spades shrugged and lit his cigarette "Because you have a kid. Because you shot me in the chest instead of the head. Because if you ever try to get  back into the game I will."
Clubs sighed and looked at Spades. Spades continued "Seriously, get out, get a good job, live for your kids and not the money.:
Spades stood up and walked away, tossing the cigarette into an ashtray as he walked past. Clubs went back to his jog as Spades got into his car and took off.

Short but I don't have too much time to write right now so I thought I'd get something done.
