The minute you mentioned you had a collection of old bolt action rifles I was going to ask if you had a Lee Enfield, I'd have been extremely dissapointed if you didn't own one of the finest rifles ever built*. Always been a dream of mine to own a few, they're just ludicrously difficult to obtain in Britain, oddly enough.

*Being British, I am legally required to say this, though I do agree with it.

I used to have the full set, less some of the really pricey ones like the T series. Now, just this one, but it's probably the most fun gun to shoot that I own. History and all. And I can't really disagree with you - the old .303s are probably one of the most historically significant designs in the world, which is pretty amazing when you consider that only a handful of countries issued them.

Which are well made and about $700 here, which probably means $50 there or whatever. Also, if it makes you feel better, you can own any of the long guns I've got, and most of the pistols I've posted here. Cali's got it much worse than we do in many ways though.

I used to have lots of levers. I got rid of the 336s and the 94s because I just had no need for them. I've still got a 1895SBL for killing dinosaurs, and an 1873 (the second coolest lever gun ever in my mind) is still on my to do list. Also this thing:

Which has been sitting on the shelf here for too long. It's an 1876 in .50-95. The 76 is the coolest lever gun ever made, period.
Gone. Cheers guys.
