How are you going to fight off the motorcycle mutants when your gun doesn't have the FPS to keep you from lagging all over the place. One moment you're sighting up a bandit, next moment he's juttering about in your scope.

Kinda semantics here, but I'd consider the Bren to be an automatic rifle, like the BAR, not an MG*.

The German guns are GPMGs though, fo' sho.


*A distinction that I personally make based on the era and box mags. See the Lewis gun for an LMG, and the 1919 for a MMG.

The Bren is an automatic rifle, just based upon the way it operates and performs, but IIRC it was originally intended to be a support weapon, it just didn't quite perform as a support weapon should have.

Because we all know it's absolute, undisputed, fact that you can hit a man between the eyes at 12 miles with a Bren gun without fail and no other weapon ever invented can even hope to match it.

True. Automatic rifle and/or LMG, MMG and/or GPMG. Much like how the M249 has manuals for use of it both as an automatic rifle and as an LMG, if I recall.
