Re: Vulnus' Stories [The Syndicate]
« on: March 05, 2015, 05:48:24 pm »
Nah, I don't think it sounds pushy at all. Only reason I didn't continue with it last post is I was tired and it was rather late. I generally spend thirty minutes to an hour on a section of The Syndicate so far, and I think that I've got a decent length per post for it.

The six of them stood together in the exercise yard together. A group of eight men walked over and without warning one of them swung at Burns. He ducked the punch, grabbed the man's arm, and used it to throw the man into the wall behind him.
Simon had tackled one of them to the ground and was beating the shit out of him as Rico proceeded to dislocate one of the attackers shoulders. Burns next opponent attempted to kick him in the head, but Burns ducked the kick and slammed a fist into the man's jaw as he recovered from the momentum of the kick. And that's when two men piled onto Burns and started hitting him.
One of Burns friends pulled one off of him and proceeded to toss the man into the wall before grabbing the other and delivering a series of rapid strikes that left the man unconsious. "Thanks for the assist Mule." Burns said as he turned and hauled a man off of Leo and knocked him unconcsious. "Leo my man, stay alert."
As he turned he could see the fight was over. Anyone still concsious either had a broken bone of some kind or a dislocated shoulder.
"Let's go, I think we've gotten enough exercise boys." Burns said as they began to walk off.
Burns was 22 at the time when he first met Mule and Leo. The two had been initiated together and had stuck together, watching each others backs. Now though they were riding in a car together, heading to deal with a dealer from another Syndicate.
They rolled to a stop in front of a small house and got out. The three of them were armed with fully automatic weapons, and they pulled them into plain view as they walked to the door.
Mule busted the door down with a single kick and they walked through the entrance. Immediately they heard a woman scream and they spotted her standing in the kitchen cooking. "Stay right there unless you want to die." Burns said, making sure she spotted his gun.
"Hey, Mick! The Chairman wants a word with you! He wants to know why your syndicate is muscling into our territory!" Leo shouted, and they heard a noise upstairs "You come down here unarmed or she dies!" Leo shouted again and pointed the gun at the woman.
After a second Mick, the dealer, walked down the steps with his hands up. "Please, let my mother go."
Leo walked over to him and dragged him into plain view of the woman. "So, why is your syndicate muscling in on our turf? You really want to answer, otherwise I might get trigger happy."
"The Dragon, our boss, said to do it! I don't know why, he just told me to deal product here! Please just let her go." Mick said, looking up at Leo.
Leo nodded to Burns, who shot the woman dead. "No witnesses, no survivors. Chairmans orders Mick." Burns said, then shot Mick in the head.
The three of them walked out to the car and grabbed the gas cans in the back. They doused the house in gas and then walked out before lighting the building on fire.
"Rule one: No witnesses, no survivors, only ash." Burns said as he got into the drivers seat.
--present time--
The six of them were smoking again, smiling. "Leo you know the right guys on the inside."
"Always man, knew I'd end up here sometime."
--Elsewhere--
"...And have they been attacked yet?" the man said, looking over his shoulder at his lackey.
"Yes sir, several times." the lackey said, doing his best to not make eye contact.
"Unfortunate, I was hoping my men could speak with them first, make an offer. Tell them to keep back and keep an eye on those men. for now I want to see how things progress."
