[Turn-Based RP] Divinity: Golden Age
« on: March 08, 2016, 02:31:30 pm »
Divinity: Golden Age
Less strategy, more roleplay

Legend:
-Green: Teachings of Duncan
-Yellow: Warriors of Left-Eye
-Blue: Cult of the Watcher
-Grey: Worshippers of the King of Stone
-Red: Followers of the Rat
-Purple: Cult of Isulae

Rules and mechanics:
-Things have been simplified massively. All for the better I hope, and there won't be any waiting around now.
-Faith-points have been simplified. You now get one point per region under your complete control. Points can't be stacked for each day aswell.
-You now have a lot more power. As in, you can pretty much do as you please. HOWEVER; there are things that you need more than one region to do. There's a table below that notes the things you can do.

Limited Powers:
Tech:
-Grant the gift of mana. (1 region). A free gift that allows there to be mana users in your realm.
-Grant the gift of clockwork. (3 regions) The civilizations under your power will advance technologicly.
-Grant the gift of steam. (4 regions)
-Grant the gift of electricity. (5 regions) Final upgrade, but civilization will be set into free-thinking mode, thus advance on their own. Whether you like it or not.

-Create champion. Does not require regions, but you can only have one. A champion is a physical character that you can control. Either literaly, or through commands.
-Create realm. (2 regions) Create a separate dimension for your own purposes. Can include all matter of things, like servant-races or even monsters. Might be a good idea to provide a place where your dead's souls go.

-Annihilate race. (8 regions) Wipe out a race.
-Armageddon. (8 regions) End the world in a way you deem fit.

Turn 5

Everything Divine:
Time seems to skip forward. As if commanded by an even higher force.
Time and space fluctuates as your thrust forward through time.
About a year or two.

Seems like the mortals have grown their following for you.
And you seem... stronger... Like you've unlocked a greater part of your potential.
You don't need the lesser faith of induviduals. The regions are glowing with faith now!

You can do as you please, but some things need more regions to do...

Duncan:

Your power has completely claimed the Andale kingdom. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

Left Eye:

Your power has completely claimed the Moving Slopes. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

The Watcher:

Your power has completely claimed the Eniz region. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

King of Stone:

Your power has completely claimed the Brazen region. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

The Rat:

Your power has completely claimed the Liniz region. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

Isulae:

Your power has completely claimed the Zian region. You are the only god there.

Regions: 1/10

I regret nothing.

((Two things. Can we have a champion sheet? And we can do everything we want, except the limited powers, right?))

The King of Stone appears to his following in the subterranean holy site, and speaks to them "I have made a promise. Now, as I make good on that promise, I ask that my followers make good on all their promises, for only good can come out of honesty. Behold."

With that, he raises his arms, the sound of stone grinding on stone fills the chamber as the walls crumble away to dust, opening up the shaft into a round cavern with smooth circular walls. Silver veins crisscross the floor and ceiling, reflecting and refracting the faint light of the few candles in the chamber creating dancing glittering patterns on all the surfaces. With another downward sweep of his arms, the ceiling opened up and a flow of glittering gold ore poured into the center of the room, clattering to rest in a yellow pile. A final upward shift of his hands forces long stone benches to rise out of the floor in two half-circles surrounding the center of the room.

"Welcome to the Timcheall. Here, you may gather and seek guidance, of which I have some for those who grow weary of this frozen land. There lies a region to the southeast, Hafngard. It is in need of our guidance. Go there, create missions and chapels. Let my word of stone bring order to that heathen land."

Dim lanterns served as the only light to the party of elves. They were dressed in dark cloaks, heavy ones, with hoods drawn low over their faces. The wagon they rode on served as the only noise; no birds, no animals, complete silence in the surrounding forest. They had come to be used to that. The deeper they went, the dimmer the lanterns seemed to get. Either that, or the darkness was getting....darker? That had to be it. The shadows seemed thicker. Corporeal. Like you could touch them.

The wagon came to a stop; they knew they had arrived. The small party slipped down, boots crushing foliage, nervous glances cast at the inhuman shapes dancing in the shadows. The leader, Liac Greenleaf, the prophet himself, made his way to the center of the clearing. Something had always felt...off, about this site. The trees were arranged in an almost-perfect circle, and, despite the crowded, vibrant nature of the whole jungle, little seemed to grow. Liac looked up into the darkness, into the night, and He spoke, as He always did.

"You have done well, prophet. Very well indeed." The voice almost wasn't a voice. It was a force. It didn't enter through ears, it forced its way into skulls, straight into brains.

Liac nodded timidly. "I did only as you commanded."

"Why, yes of course, as all men, all beings, all creatures of this world should. And they will, and you shall make it so." The voice almost seemed to grow in pitch and volume, rasping into the minds of the group. "The races of this world shall fear the night. They shall fear the unknown, and you will be why. There are regions near here. Liniz, and Tint. You will go there, with your strongest men and stealthiest hunters, and you shall give them all something to fear. Terrify the infidels. Make them wary of the dark, and then, during the day, preach. Preach of Thule. Preach of me, and the power that I offer. Do this, Liac, and do it well."

A pair of eyes, bright silver, like miniature moons, solidified in the darkness as the voice spoke, and glowed brighter as it finished, their stare boring into the elves and giving them a curious feeling. Soon enough, the eyes disappeared, and with a cursory glance, the party thought it to have turned to day. Except.....no, wait, something had happened! The party of elves, and a good deal of elves not present, could now see perfectly in the dark. In addition to mana blah blah I forgot about that part.

(Shit, I will finalize this post tomorrow morning, in a bout 6-12 hours, I am made of tired right now.)
Left Eye gazes out over her new domain. Seeing many orcs sacrificing livestock in her name, and shamans preforming rituals, Left Eye grants the shamans the power to channel Mana with her godly might.

Duncan will ask his followers to begin moving into Gidice and Hafngard. He'll then use his single mana to allow his followers to use mana.
There is probably no more terrible instance of enlightenment than the one in which you discover your father is a man — with human flesh.

((Well I said that I could reinstate you into the game in the older thread. Might just do that in todays update.

Also, I just relized that I forgot to mention in the summary that I'm reducing updates to every other day, weekends not included.))
I regret nothing.
