It's called a prologue, shush.

She only remembered a few things from her captivity. First, the feel of the mutagens doing their work. Second, the blank looks of the scientists as they administered it. Third, the few books she was allowed to have in her room. An educational book titled "planes, trains, and automobiles," more a childs picture book than anything else, and a book titled "under the hood" a mechanical manual that the scientists thought she was frankly too stupid to read.

"Alright Catnip, this way. Gotta get you out of here before the security measures seal the doors."

What was his name again? Nathan. Her handler. He always seemed a bit unhappy about something. Never let her outside though, requests to do so always made him upset, so she had stopped. Seemed like he'd decided that today was the day that she would get to go out though.
