AJ hovered near the crate and a green light above it clicked on, and then it opened slowly revealing a loaded shotgun inside! With that, there's a small tube that could be used in crafting.

Fitz hits the computer and a document is pulled up:

"Teleglitch Spacetime Anomaly"

These blobs of black and colorful anomaly seems to be the only result of today's experiment with unlimited-range teleportation. We have been investigating this phenomenon for the past two hours and think it might have profound implications for theoretical physics. The blackness seems to be literally an "inside-out" space-time curvature and opens a range of possibilities for research. My colleague has already suggested we could weaponize it by capturing the field into super-intense wave & pressure containers to be used for planetary bombardment. Oh, and if you touch it, your brain explodes.

Before AJ could respond or pick up the shotgun, there are the sounds of fast footsteps, and then suddenly the door at the end of the hall opens up! Four zombies run into the room,

Reactivated Organics unit Type 1
"Zombie"
"The Militech corporation supplied nonhuman combatants to many clients.  One day, they needed an economy soldier.  One that would be effective enough but cost almost nothing to make.  Soon, they started shipping us dead bodies.  From all over the world.  All we needed to do was install microchips into their brains and inject some cheap chemicals to prevent them from rotting.  They all smelled of turpentine.  I can never forget that smell.  We were officially forbidden to call them zombies.  The correct term was "Reactivated Organics"."

however they're far enough away that none of them have a chance to attack just yet.

AJ grabs the shotgun from the crate and pumps the gun with one hand. He takes aim and waits for a closer shot.

Aj held his ground, but the three zombies in front unleashed a burst of speed and went in three different directions in the hallway, making among quite a hassle. Zombie 1 has point, Zombie 2 to the left, Zombie 3 to the right, and Zombie 4 is in the back moving slowly.

Zombies are now in range of ATTACK.

Fitz readies his Pistol and fires at zed 2, but he misses. he attempts to fire again at the zeds, it grazed zed 2's shoulder.

AJ fumbles his shotgun into place and shouts out, "THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK!" The blast from the gun is tremendous, so tremendous in fact that it deafens everyone in the room. From what they could see and not hear, the next sets of pellets ripped the first zombie into quivering bits of sizzling meat roughly the shape and size of an average brisket, while the two in the back took two good handfuls of pellets straight to the gut, with the final set of pellets gently graze the cheeks of the second zombie.

[In adition to adding reloads, I've changed the shotgun mechanics slightly. So think of it as a quadra barrel shotgun, you can shoot up to 4 shots and as little as 1, however it takes a turn to reload a shot. Fun times ahead.]

Zombie One is reduced to red mist and bright red viscera scattered across the ground. Zombie Three and Four fall down over each other with large stomach wounds, and though they're still moving, they're reduced to a crawl. Zombie two, however is still kicking while obtaining simple scratches, and it lunges for Fitz.

Zombie Two leaps into Fitz and crashes into the desk with him. Fitz's back smashes right into the edge sending a sharp pain up his body freezing him up. The desk breaks from the force and Zombie Two who's lying on top of Fitz begins to rip into his chest. Fitz begins to bleed heavily from the chest.: 1d10 10

"no, no, no, NO." Fitz says while pushing the zed back and ripping it's throat out, he is drenched in it's blood and while it's distracted he puts it's feet to it's stomach and pushes him off. He points to pistol to the zed's head and fires, killing it.

(Anyways, no worries.)

With Zombie Two dead, there's the faint and weak moans of Zombies Three and Four. Dispatching them should be easy.
