Backstory: Born as the only child of two parents, one heavy-handed father and one caring mother, she grew up knowing what it was like to always have the scrutiny of your parents. She had a lot of troubles that went unnoticed because of their policies regarding noise and constant pressure to continue her studies and become the doctor they always wanted. She studied, at times unhappily, and was in her second year in the city's university when her father came ill with a stroke. He was unable to run their store, and her mother had to be there to take care of him. Their only income was the store at the time, and so Erika dropped out of college to take ownership. Two years later, and he suffered another stroke, this time taking him to a better place. Now, she was the owner of the store, the deed passed to her from her father. Now, after eight years, she keeps both her and her mother afloat by selling liquor and defending the store from worryingly frequent robberies. Something about liquor stores just attracts them like moths to a flame.
