Utterly Mad

If we can't be friendly to new people, then there can't be a living forum. We're basically a skeleton crew at this point. As for being friendly to new people I will refer to my prior quote: "actions speak louder than words." However, let's take this a step further. We could be nice to everyone who joined, but we don't have a large enough traffic flow due to lack of advertising, and I'm too embarrassed to spread the site through word of mouth because of the semi-anonymous groups, pron threads, and things like that. That does not promote the right things.

(The stream comment was simply an example, not to be taken entirely literally.)

I should've corrected myself and said, "Used too" because we kinda weren't. People don't like change, and I guess we were kinda like that at one point.

And honestly, the main thing that has kept me from doing anything related to the forum outside of the forum is really due to what you said, the groups, ridiculous amounts of pron that has been hidden away, and that fucking CDDA drama thread that still gets viewed.

Honestly, if I got the approval, I'd do a clean sweep of all the general chat stuff, and basically move all the personal drama stuff into a group similar to The Abyss. I don't want to get rid of it, I for one have kinda gotten over the fact and I'm kinda fine with having myself exposed like that, maybe it'll help other people that have gone through the same problems. But at the same time, its kinda hard hitting for newer folks when they hear of a fun place and it turns out that it's all ran by depressed teenagers that talk to each other like brothers and sisters.


I mean it'd be like going to Chuck E. Cheese and having your waiter spill their life story to you right after they give you your pizza. You just can't do that. (Also Chuck E. Cheese pizza is so bad its good, like its level of shiittyness puts it in its own league of pizza.)
