Suggestion: Have the Abyss be a kinda user group. Normal Members, Abyss Members, then Mods/Admins. You can apply for Abyss membership after signing up.
Until you're part of that user group, Abyss is invisible or locked out. I know it's possible on other forums, unsure about this one.

Dusty's idea sounds pretty oki.
I'm just personally against it, in addition to the reasons I had. Don't like the idea, whatever, just opinions. There's other sites for that, that are actually made specifically for it, unlike this one.

Pretty sure the mission statement for here was: No censorship
But to clarify, at least my opinion, that censorship we so heavily disagreed with concerned humor and creative endeavors(including RPs) and not 'hey let's make a place to put all of our pron' so I understand why some people (In this case: Forrest and myself) don't like that we have an area where that's essentially the purpose.

Dusty's idea seems good, but unsure if we could implement it, though I'm fairly sure we could make it where guests can't see it.

Its easy to make it non guest able. its just a switch i can turn off. also, Cryign pandas

Yeah, I thought you guys meant verbal censorship. I don't think we were all having the same ideas. I get it, yeah, no censorship, woo, but some of this is just wrong.

...okay, please define, because I'm of the mindset where when someone says 'this is just wrong' that they really need to clarify because blanket statements just don't really work well (IE: I make a blanket statement about something being wrong, in another culture it's perfectly okay)

Well, I mean, back on the CDDA forums, the only complaints expressed were really towards verbal censorship, predominantly because no one was posting......well, pr0n and full-on gore, and I dunno why there's suddenly a big craze for all that, never came up before.

Its pretty ****ed up in the Abyss. But that was the intent, that gore was in general discussion. Its like white blood cells for the internet.

And I thought that some parts of the Abyss would make this particularly obvious, but okay, I think of people burning alive/pics of open, bleeding wounds and a dogman cumming gallons in the ass of a cowman are things that probably don't belong here.
I doubt such things were the original intent of this place.

yeah I didn't get why it blew up until I remembered something from over there: There's a rule expressly forbidding any kind of sexual content at all.(another reason GTA should have gotten banned before he left since he left two threads about sexually oriented games....)
So we come here and we realize 'we make the rules' and people go crazy and shit. I don't like that kind of stuff so I didn't participate but some of the members like it so whatever. I don't think we should really be spreading that kind of stuff but I'd rather have it all in a specific area I can avoid then all over.

Also yes, gore should not be allowed. I can stomach some amazing shit when it comes to some things but I saw a couple things that made me want to vomit.

I didn't look at the gore. I can't handle gore. I need Siegelion, he is better with rules and rule argument.
