Description: The first mass-produced laser rifle to grace the UTAF's troops, the SIR is heavy, hard, and ready to prove that lasers are the future. Made of Trans-Newtonian materials, it's rugged and designed for those that plan on facing down death on a daily basis. The battery is located in the stock and needs to be removed and replaced after 50 beams worth. It fires a continuous beam for 1.2 seconds before it needs a split second to reload before firing the next beam. The beams are a slightly inaccurate at medium distances due to have difficultly keeping the beam in a coherent line while traveling to the target. The weapon is also prone to over-heating if fired for long periods of time so trigger discipline is important for the users.
