To punish my corgi for running away from the door barking when I leave, I flip her on her back and don't let her roll back onto her feet. It's not much of a punishment because she likes the game, and difficult to enforce because corgis are designed with rolling in mind, as they're general shape and build is made for managing cattle. Their low profile and round shape minimizes damage if they are kicked by a large herd animal. Instead of absorbing the kick and getting thrown they simply roll, dissipating the impact via movement. Their rounded ribcage soaks a small amount of a kick as well, and serves to get the roll started. If you've ever seen a corgi kicked by a large animal, you would note the way they tuck in their tiny legs to facilitate rolling.
Also, the ladies love a good corgi.
