Utterly Mad

Suicide is an easy way out, but it's not necessarily a good way out. It leaves a wake of very hurt people in it's wake. It just makes it worse for all the people around you. So much worse.

I think the UK policy on it is stupid as hell. If somebody is trying that, they need serious help, not criminal charges.

Speaking of death, after some tasty New Mexican food, me and my family were heading to the mall. On the car ride through a calm neighborhood my mind started to wander as it usually does, but it wasn't about Red Rivers or my next world that I can create, get lost in for months, eventually write about, and then move on.

It was simply about death, how sudden it is, and me hurting my brain trying to wrap my mind around nonexistence. Trying to understand "The Otherside" is like thinking of infinity or the size and scope of the universe, it gets to the point where just existing feels weird, like you're something more trapped in a fleshy prison. Its creepy and not very fun, and is also one of (like Perigrin) is a buffer from any form of selfharm.

Suicide is fucked up, and normally when people take the easy way out, they realize mid-way through that what they thought was unfixable is easily fixable. Your brain gets out of its funk to realize, give you a shot of adrenaline, and make you realize life ain't so bad. And it splits, either you fall back in the rut, or your life improves. Along with that people who are suicidal are aware that people will miss them, so even in their state they try and make themselves "disappear" before taking their life.

Depression is probably a worse killer then cancer. It fucks with you throughout your life, it comes out of nowhere, but unlike cancer, its mortality rate comes from people taking their own lives.
