Oh lord I'm aware of the manspreading thing.
As someone who often sits with their legs spread on public transport, and sees a lot of other people do it, I can safely say the vast majority of people will stop doing it as soon as someone walks towards a seat near them as so to not be in the way and then a few examples of people who don't move out the way have been used to say that all men do it.
