You guys are aware the Canada's run by a lot of these people, right?

If you pay attention to her wording, you'll find that she believes sexual assault/rape only ever happens to women from men. This will do nothing against actual rapists who know what they do is fucking wrong, while pushing rape victims who are male further away from the spotlight.
As someone who lives in Canada, albeit on the west coast, I can tell you that's simply not true. Yeah, we're unfortunately socialist, but we're not run by femi-nazis, and the legal punishments for raping someone in prison (where most male rape occurs) are exactly the same as when a woman gets raped on the street. If anything, the conviction rates are far higher for prison rape, simply because it goes reported more often. One article from an American newspaper does not mean "Canada is run by a lot of these people". If you pay attention to the ACTUAL AD, it's saying that witness of rape should speak up in order to punish rapists - this is because it's sort of a stigmatized topic, and few people do.
It's not about a "spotlight", that's just stupid. It's about rape being bad. The video features a woman because it's even more taboo to talk about male rape, but it doesn't say we shouldn't.
I feel like you missed my point, though you are right, it was wrong to say that Canada is 'run' by them, although this leader in particular definitely is.
The issue is cultural stigma, and this new ruling does nothing but reinforces it.
Rape is a horrible thing that shouldn't happen to anyone, I should add.
