My only problem with Rust is balancing. I was getting my ass handed to me by dudes with guns non-stop, like I'd waste 4 hours getting a base built only for it to be torn down in 2 seconds by some dude with an AK.
So I respawn and found a base, THE DOOR WAS WIDE OPEN AND THE GUYS WERE ON THE ROOF SNIPING! So I loot the containers, get as many guns as I can carry and make it my goal to tear their base down like they did mone and so many others. I managed to kill all of them with mo armor and just an AK, they were fully armored, the AK is too OP. Really bullshit unfair amounts of OP, and nothing will change that fact until they play with the values. The only reason I lost is because I needed to reload and I got overwhelmed, they kept coming nonstop, but the good news is this allowed the rival gang ended up taking the base so... meh.
No one runs and guns in Rust everyone always camps, so make the AK more inaccurate or make it have a lower firerrate, or make it need to have certain parts that you can only get in dungeons.
But then again that whole divide from being predator and prey would be lost, maybe if they just gave nakeds more tools to work with, maybe something that could penetrate armor. Maybe a new arrow type or something.
