I want to discuss something that is bugging me about minecraft. The "1.9" update came out not too long ago and it's a big deal apparently with it's big list of "new" features. Here's whats bugging me. That long list of "new" features? It's not new features. It's stuff that was added in past updates in the 1.8.X series, but you wouldn't know that because the wiki doesn't list them in the updates where they actually came from. Instead, putting them under the changelogs for experimental or prerelease versions of 1.9. Ender cities? The last time I touched vanilla minecraft was 1.8.9, and there were those ender cities in the game then. I remember installing a farm for those new end plants on my "main" build map in version 1.8.9. It really bugs me that they release a "big" update with all older features listed as new features.
Even if I'm wrong and horribly mistaken though, those features have been in circulation for so long (so long that maybe I've made the mistake of believing they were 1.8.X material) now that you can't just slap "new" on them anymore. When I look at a supposedly "big" update and see nothing new on the list of stuff added, then what was the point of making a big deal out of it?
On a side note, it's been almost a year and a half since I made it and none of the mods for my personal mod pack have been updated.
Isn't it just a big list of features that were added in the previous updates so you know what was added in that series of updates? 1.8.1-9 is leading to 1.9 so the final 1.9 update log would be a list.
